Nat filled in at lock last year, so either him or Smith in the 13. If robbo is dead keen on Smith being 9 Nat to lock and playing a new 2rf would be the go. Surely.

Ilias had 31 in base I think which is nice. Only 4 negative points and try save and 3 turn overs plus the attacking plays I think people overrating on 1 game unicorn score

    I don’t think I’m overrating or overreacting..
For me it’s the eye test and the fact he was everywhere and involved in everything. Plus the dude can tackle! 18 tackles and >300 km’s. That’s some nice base stats to watch him make some cash. Not expecting 60+ scores but a regular 40-45 with the chance to go higher, I’ll take that for $480k.
Plus it leaves me with the cash needed to upgrade elsewhere, so for me it’s a no brainer.

    Not sold on MCK though…

St George Illawarra are set to hand 19-year-old forward Toby Couchman his NRL debut against Gold Coast on Sunday with Jack de Belin set to be ruled out with a calf injury.

Couchman, whose twin brother, Ryan, is also in the Dragons set-up, is expected to come off the bench for the Red V’s their first game of the season, with Jack Bird to start in de Belin’s No.13 jersey.

Five-eighth Jayden Sullivan has also proved his fitness to play despite suffering a hamstring injury over the pre-season and will partner Ben Hunt in the halves.

Nice try, I’m not falling for it.

There was only one time to buy Ilias and that’s when he was base price last year and even then a questionable choice

Yeah I was Wong mate...I spent far too much time listening to 'experts' podcasts instead of listening to my own instincts.

That article fails to confirm the no 13 is Bird's for keeps.

I mean we are just projecting their season average to be their season average aren’t we?

TMM to HTF at this stage feels like a huge step forward.

As tempting as it is to go Hopgod as captain, I think I’ve got to leave it on The Chin, especially because I believe the Penrith will want to perform to a much higher standard than game one, and his L3 average against Souths….. affraid

Also, haven’t delved deep into what trades I’m possibly doing. I’ll admit Iatoa is on the chopping block. Poor score in a winning side. Might have to get onto the Ford Bandwagon(good car name, btw), with Uto being the sacrificial lamb. I’ve left myself in a bit of a pickle leaving only $36k.

I'll be doing the opposite. Trading in the two lowest scoring players from last round that I don't currently own: Crossland (-5) and Tatola (1). The logic being they can't possibly be that bad again and it's all up from here. Don't see how this could possibly fail.

I'll grant you that, certainly in the excitement stakes anyway.

Feel like TMM is going to be 20-30 every single week.

Shhhhhhhh Coffee last year I got my highest ever season rank of ~83k by doing this. Works really well. Hoping to crack the top 75k this year with a similar strategy!
