I'll be doing the opposite. Trading in the two lowest scoring players from last round that I don't currently own: Crossland (-5) and Tatola (1). The logic being they can't possibly be that bad again and it's all up from here. Don't see how this could possibly fail.

Although you’re clearly being sarcastic, Tatola and Frizell have now become opportunities for cut priced 50s scorers in a few weeks with good bye schedules

Any Brandon smith news? I’ll be happy to dump him if he’s injured

Considering dumping him anyway, is never going to be an 80 minute hooker with Turpin on the bench and injured MIDs.

I’m still here and feel fine. Have a bit of a shoulder issue and my other half tells me I need a brain scan.

In all seriousness, AJ probably goes to 6, and how would that affect Boyd?

Campbell will probably do a few wobble bombs from fullback, Titans will probably be worse so score fewer tries meaning fewer GKs, but otherwise not much.

    They surely don't pick Sexton.

Would like to see Kini get the Campbell bench spot. Great to watch play.

Even with injured mids to the raiders/titans/storm the fact Tapine/Tino/Nas in the first round all averaged their 2022 and career average minutes.
What I find funny is you are happy to jump between minutes and PPM and speak your opinion or hypotheticals as if they are fact when it suits your agenda, but what really matters is what they score each week and what they average for the year

It doesn't matter how they get those points

Luckily Smith has a high PPM so like the above doesn't need 80mins to score well

    Playing devil’s advocate

Even if BSmith’s ribs aren’t broken, there’s evidence of guns last year underperforming due to managing a rib injury (Tapine and Frizell)

Yes this is the prime reason I'm even considering jumping off the Cheese, last year I came to the conclusion that rib and AC joint injuries should mean an instant sell in fantasy, as we saw Haas struggle with the AC joint injury and Tapine/Frizell with the ribs (I think Taukeiaho had similar issues one year and a lot of people got trapped by him).

Campbell Graham played the finals with broken ribs, Grant bruised ribs through the world cup, Reynolds fractured ribs through july
Really depends on the player, though obviously not ideal someone like Smith I feel if he is 'allowed' to play will still go hard
Probably depends if he is your starting hooker too as not alot of alternatives around his price

    Round 1 - 803 and rank 17211.

    Team was

    BSmith
    Murray (C) Tapine Haas
    EKatoa Dfifita
    Doueihi Trindall
    Talau Alamoti
    Tedesco Hunt AKP
    Carrigan Hopgood Carty Stone

4 cheapies in the wfb and ctr spot was obviously rough but I was happy to cop that for what I thought was security in having gun forwards.

Thinking of going BSmith to Walsh. Can effectively bring in Walsh and Warbrick for Talau and AKP in my 17 this way.

Like Walsh as he has attacking upside, playing in a better team this year and is low ownership due to missing R1.

Thoughts on any wfb or ctr options that are around that price or cheaper that could be better options?

Yeah if he’s out that’s different. Would then be missing R2 and R4, and I think would make more sense to sell and get him again later leading into Origin
