Yeah I could still move Trbo around last week until the final game on desktop.

thats the reason i benched Alamoti for Talau.

I like the Boyd trade out but go down to a cash cow or move up to a Mahoney Grant Robson Cook or wait on Brailey seems the better move.

I think my plan for now is one more week of Boyd (yuck) and then Boyd down to Soni Luke next week, and Trindall up to whoever I can get (probably not Mahoney unless I get lucky, more likely Koroisau). If Hynes is not back next week (would be a miracle for me), then I would trade E Butcher to a gun hooker instead.

If they both average 45 over the next three weeks, Katoa gains around $90K, with Butcher gains $30K

When you factor in the difference in price, it's basically a $150K trade (Two trades when trading Katoa out I guess)

Lets work on some maths here (assuming your profit calcs are right)

Butcher trade in $546k trade out $576k - you now have $576k
Katoa trade in $497k trade out $587k - you now have $636k (587k from selling Katoa, $49k cash from when you traded butcher down to Katoa)

    $576k - $636k = $60k profit

Now the $49k you get from selling Butcher can be put to good use and make you some more money as well - but you can't just count it as free money.
Points scored also comes into the equation.

Boyd's BE is only 40. You started with him because he has shown recent history of averaging over 45

As long as he doesn't get hooked again there's no reason to think he can't score that. Don't just assume everyone is only as good as their last game

I’m going to assume Tommy Talau was as good as his last game (before the HIA)….

No worries cheer Yeah I've got a kinda convoluted one set up with Talau and Ford at 16 and 17 and Cleary starting with 4 greens in the EME. Trades may also be involved Laughing

Tim Williams reporting that Pezet will start at 5/8 for the Storm with Wishart moving back to the bench.

Great news if you're a Storm fan, bad news if you're one of the 7% of teams that somehow has Wishart.

Bethany_B wrote:Am I insane for considering selling Boyd to Levi as my 2nd trade? Ricky seems to like leaving him on even after Starling comes on, and that trade would leave me 258k bank for next week which I can use to get a gun hooker in. The way I see it, they're both shit but one's going up and the other's going down.

Almost insane as Ricky thinking it is a good idea to run the 2 smallest hookers in the NRL on the field together, with one as a MID without Tapine or Papalii on. Really hope that was a 1 week failed experiment, it lost them the game, Dolphins just powered through the middle.

Kind of why I decided to keep him. I did the data in the pre-season and saw his average at half was in that vicinity. Will give him a game or two to see if he can show me those scores again… but he is on the block!

    Agree. Third date for Boyd

Look at Garner as an example of what can happen after a shit performance and being hooked..

warming to the idea of keeping Boyd.

Really at this stage I can go Boyd CNK to Preston Bird or I can go Talau CNK to Perham Preston.

need to move on CNK as i need a WFB or Centre. Only alternative is Boyd Talau to Preham Preston.

Basically its Boyd + CNK to Bird or Boyd or CNK to Perham

I agree, though Bellamy has a history of persisting with shit players just because of "experience", or putting in a plodder instead of giving the young fella a go. That said it would be hilarious to see Chris Lewis get another go at 5/8, given that he's got a 100% win rate in that position Beer

Talau CNK to Perham Preston seems the best bet, though you could go Sloan over Perham if you want to.

My current plan is Talau to Sloan in one trade, as I want to have some money in the bank for next week and Sloan is 60k less than Perham is, while having the ability to make quick money.

Perham and Preston in for me this week is becoming quite the possibility. I’m sure it doesn’t end well but I’m more than use to such outcomes

I am warming to the idea of Cleary to Cook (and holding Cheese)

If Doueihi is out I need a hooker (or another half) in order to field 17
I want a longer term option at hooker that isn't Boyd/Cheese

Means missing Walsh (for this week at least) but my interest in him is more vibe-based than anything the stats say.

Carrigan being out isn't ideal, but I at least have MID cover whatever other trades I do even if its just Cheese/BMM
