NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 42 - Did Someone Say Aubussson :heart:

There are some cracking posters on this forum. Admittedly haven't watched much NRL recently (1 game in 5 rounds) for reasons, and it's great to pop in and read some really good analysis from great players. Have been an ultra lurker this year but haven't missed many pages - just no insight to offer recently due to not watching games. Particular shoutout to Rhino and Contrastinghobby (suppose he has a clue ). Thank you.

Did the Eels really need another Matt Doorey?

If they actually run out like that on the day I'd have to think the most obvious thing to expect is Matto on after 20 or so into lock, Hopgood to prop, Greig off. Carty probably gets some minutes for Davey at some point.

Ultimately though we all have no clue what BA is thinking. I'd certainly be very wary of buying Greig.

What the fuck with Milford? Has he fattened up enough to play lock, Jack Bird style?

Suppose it is a worry that he comes in at half with Niko the bench hooker, taking minutes from JMK and decimating Katoa's kick metres, destroying three fantasy players at a stroke.

Brenko Lee is named but will be a late withdrawal re: hammy

Te Whare either starts or comes on to the bench

Null slots to centre as Te Whare won't play a full game, allowing Gilbert/Teague to play 2RF and Milf comes in at lock for a stint.

So what's up with CNK and EKatoa being named?

I think it's highly likely he plays bigger mins this week if he doesn't start and play all 80, it's only a matter of time.

I'm getting on now so I can afford Hynes and then get Tatola next week.

Hooks entire strategy has seemed to be just sign and overpay as many past their prime plodders as possible and hope for the best, I mean look at this selection of junk
McCullough, Josh McGuire, Woods, George Burgess, Alvaro, Francis Molo, Musgrove, BMM, Mbye.

He's managed to somehow turn Hunt into his little lapdog who thinks the coach can do no wrong and now
he's dropped Liddle and Lomax, 2 players who haven't been the problem this year (well Lomax's kicking has), and kept Mbye at hooker.

Say what you want about Mary Mcgregor but at least he cared about the club, but deadset Hook is cooked.

I just noticed Koro started game 3 last year with Cook on the bench (52min/28min split), so I was thinking maybe Freddy just leaves Cook out altogether this year.

Who knows. Getting a bit sick of Cook, that said he can bust a big score any time. Would be real handy if he missed selection in game 1.

Tough life at the dogs for the rookies.. Thought Edwards looked good against the dragons. Next week out of the 17.
