Yeah he’s fast, looks a great athlete. Is up there for buys (for byes)

But it’s also not a race - Walsh is holding a footy, tiptoes the sideline, looks over his shoulder a few times. Luki sprints in a straight line on the angle that cuts the distance.

Not having a go, just bothers me when people carry on about chasers being fast or ball carriers being slow. Still a huge effort and try save
I don't want to be that guy, but if two players start at the 50m line, one is running straight and the other is running across field, the player running across field is covering more ground, just ask my favourite Greek Pythagoras!

Holding a ball and looking around still good points.

I would like to do Alamoti to Luki as well, would probably have done it next week, but Null's bye next week means I need Alamoti annoyingly. I don't think it's worthwhile if having to trade in another centre. Maybe if getting Bird I guess but I don't think I can afford that
Yeah it’s not ideal if Bird isn’t the target next week. I mean Penisini could be a plan B.

I can just imagine holding Alamoti for these next two weeks for cover reasons and he scores 20-25 in both games and then it’s like what was the point really

    Gone for Horse for me

Only trade I’ve been comfortable with, no idea what else to do this week

Could trade someone down to Tatola, but don’t see the point

Could upgrade SJ to Hynes, or Preston to Fifita..

Long enough for me to take the risk on Campbell. 5 weeks of 45s will do nicely

With the Dragons - is Griffin safe for the year?

Will they pull the trigger and sack him in the next month? And if they do, what will the new coach think about the best lineup

Even if they keep Griffin, another couple of losses and he might rejig the team again
Wouldn't necessarily trust anyone to have a secure role in the team

related: I went De Belin over Horsbrugh last week, in part because I thought he had better job security, and that just didn't work. At least he should till get decent minutes/score even if starting at prop

Just on Luki, I’d be weary. If not for the upcoming bye he wouldn’t really be looked at.
    He’s cheap for a reason…

    Very rarely plays 80
    Very often injured

They’ve also forgone the carrying of a back on their bench this week and put another 2nd rower on there (Finefeuiaki)
Gos can and has been playing 80
Payton’s not scared to put Granville there either
At the very least you’d want to wait a week to not only look at the rotations but have a look at his form post injury.
    My 2 cents

Anyone going to talk me out of Alamoti to Tedesco??

R13, SOO blah blah blah etc etc

Still think he outscores someone like Drinkwater between now and the end of the season. But are there other options at that price (position agnostic)?

I've pruned out the one-off type games. I'm not sure if CHN actually played lock (didn't catch those games).

But yeah, quite surprising to me how many are in the 65+ minute bracket.
I guess the only real conclusion that can be taken away is that with a 71 minute per game average, same 0.83PPM leading to the same average, that Horse is the new Cam Murray, and probably a FAC.

Legend - thanks ET.  When I looked at Horse I wondered about this exact question.

Ford to edge, cheese to mids. But for that week i would have no mid or edge cover without trades, so could get sticky.

Very good points...tbh I'd be a bit nervous about picking up a dude who injured his hamstring three games after coming back from injury having played low mins off the bench in the first two. He's a good shout but would want to see him get through a game first.

Yeah certainly possible. Basically holding him hoping for another 45ish score within the next two weeks (ideally next week when I have to play him). But perhaps without JAC he just doesn't have those scores in him anymore. Think I'll have to hold and find out.

I can go Cook to Hynes in 1 trade, which is bloody tempting. Plan was to trade him to Robson in R13, so don't see too much harm jumping off now.

Not sure there's many players I'd trade him to though. 55 average has him losing ~20k between now and then so not the end of the world.
