Definitely a round 13 trade in mate. Watch him get through this week then he even has an extra week of rest for the knee fit and firing for round 13.

Do warriors have a bye soon?

I love watching him play and want him in my team but I would be too nervous he is not gonna make it through every match

Selling Hynes the week after I just bought him is probably the stupidest possible trade I could possibly think of. Surely you aren't serious about that?

I would much rather get rid of Sloan (who could very easily lose all the money he's made by R13 and then score another 10 points in R13) for a non-R13 player (Oloapu) and allow Ford to Horse (or Hopgood or JDB in fact).

Quality matters more than quantity and realistically I can only get one more good player that plays R13 - it's either Horse, Hopgood or JDB.

I do not have enough trades left to be selling genuine guns like Hynes, Cleary, Fifita etc. - Cook I would consider but he's too cheap to get anyone good for and I would then be forced to play Cheese as my only hooker

This is possibly the worst response to advice I've seen on here.

You don't have to agree with what is offered, but it would be good manners to thank them and to just keep your incredulity to yourself.

I'd never claim that I'm not an idiot and I'm more than capable of making bad decisions (already have this year, and no doubt will make plenty more).

Nevertheless, the suggestion was genuine and just a suggestion.
It's nice to have a good bunch of Origin keepers that you want in your final 17, but my concern with that strategy is that by the time R21 rolls round, you'd be so far behind from playing short too often, that your final 17 almost becomes a bit irrelevant.

It's not been fun riding without Hynes, he's a great player, great fantasy scorer, If love to fit him in, but I don't think he's 10 points better than Cleary, and I don't think many teams have enough value to support Hynes + Cleary + Haas + Fifita + Cook. It's a power block of scoring, but somethings gotta give...

Averages are cool, Total points are what wins out

Yeah that's fair enough, I get what your reasoning is and it makes sense now. If I had not bought Hynes last week I probably wouldn't be buying now, but I did (sold Muz and Preston to him and Tatola, so at least half of that trade was good in theory?)

If I were to sell any of those 5 guys you mentioned, I would be selling Cook or Haas well before I'd sell Hynes. Realistically the guys I'd be selling them to guys like Hopgood and Robson, which seems somewhat redundant since I can get one of those two guys by selling Ford and Sloan, two guys who aren't going to make any more money anyway.

That said, I am consider selling Cook to Robson in round 13, any reason to go early on that in your opinion? Robson's also been losing a ton of cash himself and seems to be bottoming out now. JMK is also an option and would cover my byes better (I have Cheese and Soni Luke who play R16 when JMK is on his bye), but idk if he's a end of season keeper like Cook and Robson probably are, and because of his bye this week, I would have to let Cook lose more money to get him in.

Was raging pretty hard watching him, was multiple times Brown opened the line up and nowhere to be seen. Dropped the ball seemingly every time he was near the stripe.
Moses out has thrown a spanner in the works ( both as an owner of him and Lane) in the sense that maybe now that dilly bags has the team more traffic goes to Lane?
Just don’t know if he’ll be there when needed.
Was thinking of going Lane/Moses to Dbags and Hopgood?
Just looks extremely sideways in fantasy but IRL maybe an upgrade?
    Any advice please?

I am a Lane holder as well, thought he looked 'back' against the Broncs on a heavy track. I'm going to hold and get some value out of him through the multi-bye rounds and hope he goes back to 50+ average.

Tohu is looking juicy, but agree wait 2 weeks.

I had just assumed I’d sell Sloan this week, but looking at it he’s probably worth holding for me. Half his scores have been around his BE and priced at 30 I don’t think he loses a lot of cash. Assuming he holds his spot through this price dip.

A good run of scores and he could still make 100k from here but it’s unlikely to be fast cash. The inconsistency is the real worry but he might be useful as a loop option.

If they weren't playing souths next and didn't have the bye in Rd13 I would legit be semi-interested in Brooks.

    DBags is Dylan Brown.

I got Lane in a couple of weeks ago (choosing between him, Hopgood and Hudson Young, gah) and he's failed the eye test since then. Just plodding along losing cash. He does have great byes, but feels like a mistake at the moment. If I only make one trade this week it'll be Lane to Tapine, but there's an argument that that's sideways.

I couldn't do it to myself, regardless of how shit I am going this year, but brooks does tend to go on runs of good scores.

Tohu is an interesting one, if Ford can just stay alive this week when I need him to play, I can hold him a week and then trade him for Tohu in R13 instead of selling Sloan and Ford to Oloapu and Hopgood

Let's see what happens over the course of the week in terms of him holding his spot but I think you've convinced me to give him a chance if he keeps his spot and Ford plays

I had a look at what he'd lose in the next 2 weeks (so going into round 13).

    Worst case it's about 90k (2 scores of 10),

Best case (90 points in 2 weeks, like when he got 50 and 40 in successive weeks) he makes 11k and would then have a low breakeven heading into R13.

A middle of the road case would be 60 points in 2 weeks (e.g. a 45 and a 15) which would have him lose 31k.

TLDR: Holding Sloan isn't as bad as I thought, thanks for the tip.

He had a career year last year with assists and offloads galore and still only averaged 52.6. Not really top tier imo

Mostly at the back end of seasons I think. I got on one year. Only once. Not sure I could bring myself to do it again.

You're still ahead of me, mate!

PS - Really poor form of ET to come into the mods league and sit atop the overall ladder and Cookie #2 ranked mod. Did we not send out specific instructions??
