I'm not normally one to stray too far from the fantasy talk, but my partner and I are at the hospital for our first baby. Should I expect my fantasy form to drop? I surely can't do that much worse than last year...

Still gut backing SoS for career year, hopefully injury free in a decent Dolphins outfit.

If I don't go down the Hynes and Cleary route, I like starting the season with Cleary/SoS as my halves pairing

    Good lucky buddy!

Will be plenty of time for fantasy when your missis is doing everything with the baby, feet up, beers and away you go!

Congratulations to you and your family!

FWIW we had our first about this time last year and I had career fantasy season. I think there's a bit of history of people doing well in the year of their first kid so look forward to seeing you be this year's Booze.

    Congrats on the little one

Ours turned 1 a few weeks ago and I had my worst fantasy season ever

That's probably because I'm shit though

    Congratulations

My worst season in a long time coincided with my March baby.
But I don't regret in the slightest having a poor season.

The more involvement, effort and energy you put into your newborn the more you'll get out of it - despite sleep taking a hit for a while, I'd say it was probably the best experience of my life.
    All the best!!

@Obbeats so you'll either have your best season ever or your worst 😉

    Congrats Obbeats,
becoming a dad is pretty much the most awesome thing that can happen.

Until they grow up and become rapacious, attitudinal teens ... then you just strap in, hang on and pray.

My best ever finish was when my 2nd child was born.

He was a great day sleeper and I had paternity leave during the start of the season, so plenty of time for fantasy analysis

But forget hat, and enjoy being a dad, that's what is more important. Congrats on the bub, hope it all goes well

    Congratulations OddBeats

I didn't play fantasy when mine were small. They are teenagers now and are rarely sighted coming out from their bedroom for food or to ask me to drive them somewhere. It leaves plenty of time for fantasy but I can't say the extra time has helped my form.

    Dad of three, 6 4 2, here.

    Congratulations!

Spend every bit of spare time you can doing things. Cooking spare meals, washing clothes, changing nappies, cleaning bathrooms.

Tiny lump-baby will exhaust its mother, and the more you get good at the household stuff now the easier it will get as you get busier.

Max is famously a high profile happy clapper whose celibate relationship with his 'met at church' betrothed was thoroughly exploited by one of those tax dodge mega churches that seem to spring up west of Marrackville to fleece the lost souls of Sydney's Millennial generation of their hard earned.

There were a bunch of videos where Max explained that keeping it in your pants was a great way to show your love for the Baby Jesus and make a few dollars for the slick fucker with the microphone.
