It's hard to see RFM not getting big minutes in that Dragons pack - if he's fit.

Priced at 25. I reckon he could average 32-33 to make 100k. 36-37 for the 150k might be a stretch if BHunt ignores daddy's calls to give Kyle a kick. Hunt would be tempting if he wasn't being held hostage.

He is in that awkward price range though, where he isn't base priced so is wasting cash compared to a $230-250k player and not going to score well enough to play in your 17.

Rumours are that Lucy ends up there to take that spot.

Someone posted on Facebook that Raiders were favourite for Lucy (think it was sourced to James Hooper, so take with a grain of salt)

But Raiders are possibly the club least in need of an extra edge player - why would they be after him?

Dragons are also in talks with Luciano Leilua which could put that dead in the water. Leilua is asking $900k/4y though, so surely not even the Dragons recruitment are that silly.

I was really hoping for the goalkicking duties or a bulk share of kick metres to free up Hunt’s running game, and he got neither. It was just a trial and things could change, but he’s not talented enough to eek out 35 Fantasy points and provide value without those leg ups.

He'll have to show a lot to convince me he's value

Eisenhuth or Egan probably better bets for the edge, or even move Bird back there if they give up on Lomax on the wing

I made up a template for the JBFA Discord because I got sick of the young YouTube audience coming in with absolute horror teams.

IF YOUR TEAM HAS LIKE 19-20 OF THESE, ITS PROBABLY A GOOD TEAM THAT WE CANT DO MUCH MORE UNTIL TLT:

    HOK:

    1 of: Grant/Robson/JMK
    1 of: Lussick/Hands
    Optional: Cheese, Levi

    MID:
    BUY: Josh Curran (near must)
1 of Haas/Murray (can only go both if you're cheaping out somewhere like taking out Campbell)
    1-3 of: Tatola/Cotter/Cheese
1-2 of: Sam Hughes, Willison, Seyfarth (news pending)
    Optional: Elliot

    EDG:
    BUY: Piakura (must)
0-2 of the cheap 400k edges: Schuster, Wong/Tupouniua (if no bench edge for Roosters), RFM
    0-2 of of the 500k edges Blore/Crichton/Lane.

    HLF:
BUY: Nathan Cleary.  He's too highly owned to anti-pod.
Buy ONE of: Hynes/Moses/Fogarty (Hynes/Fog is possible, but you'll have to gut other positions, so be careful).
    Optional: Flanagan
Risky potential: Fainu/Galvin (if trials and mail is good), Hutchison if 7

    CTR:
IF NAMED: Strange (5/8th), Talau, Iro, Cotric (wing), Burbo (pending Schuster injury return news)
SEMI-MIDRANGERS: Penisini, Suli, Kiraz (if centre), Simonsson, Kris (if we're desperate), Aitken (if second row)
    Maybe if named: Mariner, Xerri

    WFB:
BUY: Papenhuyzen, Raiders fullback (either Weekes/Stewart/Savage)
Buy if named: Campbell (if not, and it's longer term, Kini)
Optional for points if no Campbell: Ponga, Kiraz, Sivo

I think people might be reading to much into trials… what I learned from just watching the replay of last night was that Souths reserve grade dominated Dragons reserve grade in that 2nd half.

Only players I currently have not from this list are Hutchison and Tedesco. Though I am flirting with Koroisau at hooker.

Something I'm missing about Cook? Swapped Carrigan out for him after Cook's sideline performance in the trial last night. Also because I've abandoned ship on JBrailey.

Also why is Iro popular? Ramien and Talakai CTRs, or is Talakai reverting to bench forward?

Just commenting on this - how do you plan on judging this?

People that subbed off Suia Wong from his 5 games as starting edge last year - Lindsay Collins, Fletcher Baker, Angus Crichton, (no sub twice)
Tupouniua started twice on edge and was replaced by Lindsay Collins and Terrell May

Plus if there is a Butcher on the bench (high chance) do you count them as edge or middle.

I think this is impossible criteria to meet - how do you expect the newbies on your site to interpret it

Are you asking what will happen, or what fantasy coaches want to happen?

He's a guy that people want to see in first grade because of his fantasy price. Nothing new here, and won't happen unless injuries

If you use the yafss optimiser, that would be a great start. It's working pretty damn well - ynot has put in a tonne of work on it.

I agree, Roosters have 4 1st grade quality EDGs - Wong, Crichton, Tups, N Butcher. They all likely get named in the R1 team and wouldn't surprise me to see all 4 used on the EDG at some point in that game.

The most consistent thing about Robbo is how much he changes up his forward pack, positions, minutes. What you see in week 1, won't necessarily happen in week 2 or 3. Unless Crichton is starting EDG for R1, I am likely to avoid all of them.

Random question I've never been able to figure out, what does awkwardly priced mean? I've seen applied to almost every price tag?
