What odds a Kaufusi multi week suspension round one?

I think Aitken is a definite buy if named but it's a real dice roll with the 2 incumbents hanging around plus last game of the round.

The more I think about it the more it's a wait and see

If Weekes is picked over Strange in round 1 I have plenty of time to adjust

If Strange plays round 1, but Weekes round 2, then that is a possible problem. If strange is named Il start with both him and Burbo. Will make sure I can easily cater for 1 of them being out r2, but if they both are, that would probably be problematic.

this is a bit like weekes/strange in the trial. weekes played on the left which is the position up for grabs. strange played as the dominant half, but that's fog's job.

ricky makes curious calls at the best of times so neither selection at 6 will surprise me. just have to be prepared to adjust. have to take whichever is named and hope for the best.

I might seriously run RTS at the back. Looked incredible and will surely get centre DPP. That's mighty enticing on its own.

    Atm I'm running

Burbo and Strange as centres with Papy, Teddy and Rapana as wfbs.

Have Cotric as backup ctr/wfb and Bradley as backup wfb(/2rf I guess).

If Weekes is picked over Strange, I probably downgrade Rapana to Weekes as 3rd wfb and run with someone like Simo (or try and find the extra 30k elsewhere for Aitken if he gets named) at centre.

Then if Burbo only plays R1, I could move Cotric there.

R4 then becomes a problem if Burbo is out because I can't use Cotric as he's already at centre, and Bradley would have the bye too (if he gets the spot at all) but I guess that's a future problem.
I would like Bradley to nab the EDG spot as it will solve the WFB3 selection issue

Thinking fuck it I'm just going to run with him, he's in the best 13 every week regardless of where he's picked and he's getting picked at CTR if Sivo isn't suspended (5-6 rounds this season?  Very Happy)

Liked what I saw from him at the last season and he's a year older, combos etc etc

I'm gambling on the opposite side of Russell. Sitting outside of a faster, more hardened Penis. Teams will kick to him over Sivo as well. Twisted Evil

I've got RTS in the team atm, I was going to run with Cobbo, but I don't really like the Broncos opening run of fixtures.
I can review the decision once Campbell is back up and running

There's an interview somewhere with the Raiders assistant saying Ricky knew his R1 squad weeks ago and the second trial just confirmed it. Raiders forum wants that to mean that Strange has got the gig because he played better, but yeah, could mean Weekes was on the left and didn't fall over his shoelaces so he'll be the one who starts. Hope it's Strange though for fantasy purposes.

If the interview is legit then probably means Levi starts too.

Haas vs Hopgood is a tougher decision then initially expected.

Chasing a gun Mid and don`t love Murray.

Hopgood 43k cheaper and less of a chance to play origin.

I`m projecting them to both average around 60-65.

Interested to see which way others are leaning on here and why.

    Cheers

Haas: perhaps the best prop to ever play the game.
Hopgood: a lively tackling lock with an offload.

Thinking Hopgood has more upside, feel like we've seen the best of Haas, not yet to see the best of Hopgood.
    Hopgood cheaper.
    Hopgood DPP.
Hopgood a maybe for origin, Haas a certainty.
    Hopgood more fun to watch.

It's very fun to watch Haas scoring lots of points. What's not fun is not owning him while he's scoring them.

Do we think Hynes will drop in price or getting a better overall team (of middies)

I think at least $100k in the bank will be a good idea.

Team balance is the main concern. You want one of them obviously because there’s value in picking the topscorer as your captain. However, there’s about 10 points of value come round 6 when everyone picks Haas or Hopgood as their captain with Cleary out (assuming all options outside of Cleary/Hynes average 65 or less for simplicity). Assuming Hynes averages 75 and Haas averages 65, you get 20 points more than everyone else from your captain. I suppose this is negated though when you have Hynes in your 18-21 for round 5.

    Well we are now.

On another note, the sudden popularity of Rapana brought back memories of Leipana. Depending on your Raiders combos you could have Strapana, Krapana or, for the connoisseur, Fapana.
