Now I might be a little interested

    1 game at 70 mins.
Do we have any info that this will be his role moving forward?
If he's a 70 min busy lock, 2023 Cotter, than at $570k he could be a cheap Middle keeper.
But, what if 40-50 mins is his role? Priced at 41 he's pretty much what it says on the label.

If I can pick up Haas, I'll be getting the big dog back in.

If you want EDG value there’s options like Bateman and Nikora (2019 throwback)

But Sorensen has MID DPP which is useful for bye period
If you buy them both in the same round does it unlock their secret EDG/CTR DPP.

If he is a 40-50 guy and he scores at 40-45 at least you’re not losing anything? The DPP is super helpful for my team anyway and during the big byes he’s super useful.

The upside of 70 minutes is hopefully pretty significant

The talk is Cook will be in the 14. Chee Kam dropped.

    J. Gagai in for Munro.

Arrow back but could be on bench with Shaq starting.

Now I’ll go back and look at the last 20 pages lol

    Blore or Bateman?

Not much difference in price, can’t really work out whether going Bateman is based on reputation as opposed to pts potential now. Tigers byes maybe a bit better. Anyone looking at similar

Had a bit of a rethink once I got home from work this evening. I’m now looking at bringing in Chester for Ponga. Seems safe for high 30s, possibly higher if the Cows can get the ball and not leak points. Next, brought in Dylbags for Burbo. Next weeks bye doesn’t worry me seeing that he’s the lone Eel in my side. Lastly, decided on Soreson over Walsh for Flanagan. Reece does have the upside, but his floor lowers some with Reynolds returning and Sorenson gives me a dual for round 13.

There is a possible downside to what I’m doing. I’ve left myself without a centre for round 10, however, if the planets align, $34k might just be enough to go Salmon to Garrick that round.

    Round 8 team
    Cheese
    McInnes, May, Tohu
    KPP, Gus
    Hynes, Brown
    Strange, Iro
    Paps, Kris, Chester

    Galvin, Sorenson, Levi, Chan
    The Dogpound

I’m hesitantly keeping the armband on Nicho. Surely, this is the week he breaks the pattern and scores well over 50 against a depleted Raiders side.

I'm still not sold on Bateman. Big score on the weekend. Loves his crab runs which is good for fantasy. Maybe he goes on a run. Maybe I'm wrong. Feel Blore is the better move long term.

    I prefer Bateman over Blore
I have him pencilled in as a trade-in post rd13, might have to pay a premium for him by then though, but he's great cover for the later byes.

I am leaning Bateman, don’t need EDG for R13 and has a great run after as will be available all thru Origin byes

Would get both if position wasn’t relevant

Similar decision between Bateman, Blore, Sorensen and have them in that order for actual scoring, but Sorensen's DPP could be handy.

Eye-testing Bateman at the weekend, he actually looked pretty good again.

I think I’m leaning Bateman over Blore. Hadn’t considered Sorensen until 5 mins ago, but there’s a bit of value there plus R13 MID

    ATM I’m on
Ponga, Fog, Campbell to Walsh, Bateman, TBA

So Sorensen could be that 3rd buy
    Could also be:
    - D Brown
    - Teddy
    - Ben Hunt
    - or just go large and get Yeo

FWIW, since moving to the Broncos, Walsh averages 50.2 without ARey and 49.4 with him. I guess the extra kicking pretty much evens out against being in a better team.

No interest in Ponga to Drinky? I’m considering it.

Other option is get Walsh and save the 136k! Walsh will play origin though and sometimes his scores don’t translate to fantasy. Other thing is will Walsh get rested after origin? He still should avg around that 48-49 mark.

Drinky well won’t play origin plays round 13 and I need another WFB for round 13 and 14 as well as 15, 17, 18 and 20 and he’s a keeper. Will avg about 52 I reckon and you know what you get.

Draw not bad the next 6 weeks either.

    Can anyone sway me otherwise?

If you’re happy paying close to full value for Drinkwater I think it’s fine. Favourable bye schedule, everything at the Cows runs thru him

As an aside, I went to Taronga Zoo with my two youngest today. Id forgotten that outside the inner west gentrified bubble where I live that people wear footy gear when not attending a game. Saw multiple Dragons jersey, mainly on kids. A dad in a Manly top. But the best was seeing a kid, probably 8-10, in a new Panthers jersey with the front two thirds of his head shaved then the mane down his back. Peak NRL haircut. A few seconds later his dad appears with the same Panthers top and same fucking haircut. Except he was whiter (guessing the kids mum was Pasifika heritage) and a little bald at the crown so wasn’t exactly pulling it off. It was superb.

Mitchell said his brother had been "Mr Energy" around Heffron Park since receiving his ban and had been particularly supportive of stand-in fullback Jye Gray.
The diminutive Gray impressed during the pre-season and made his NRL debut as Mitchell's replacement in the loss to the Sharks.

"He (Mitchell) is very enthusiastic, he brings the energy. If everything starts dying down, he brings it back up," Shaq Mitchell said.

"He's been around the game for a while and helps Jye-Boy out. I think it's more a fact of letting (Gray) play his game, just saying, 'It's good to play your game, don't be like me, we're two completely different players'."
As the Rabbitohs look to revive their campaign, speculation has swirled about Mitchell returning to the centres, where he played for the Sydney Roosters in their 2018 and 2019 premierships.

Such a shift could reinvigorate Mitchell following a middling start to the year, and would allow the highly-rated Gray to stay in the side long-term.

Mitchell's older brother did address the specifics of who should be playing fullback, but hoped there could be room for both men in the Rabbitohs' team once Latrell returned in round 10.

"For sure (Gray) should be fitting in there," he asid.

"Having both them in the same side is going to be very dangerous. You've got the power game (from Mitchell) and you've got the speedster (Gray) as well."

Sounds positive re Jye. I think he needs to be in the side.

Whether they have the guts to do this is the question when Trell is back….

    1. Jye
    3. Trell
    6. Wighton
    7. Cody

After a long hard think I’ve made one trade of Fog > Plath. Hoping he has cemented that spot moving forward and the DPP is super helpful
