Rabbits21 wrote:Mitchell said his brother had been "Mr Energy" around Heffron Park since receiving his ban and had been particularly supportive of stand-in fullback Jye Gray.
The diminutive Gray impressed during the pre-season and made his NRL debut as Mitchell's replacement in the loss to the Sharks.

"He (Mitchell) is very enthusiastic, he brings the energy. If everything starts dying down, he brings it back up," Shaq Mitchell said.

"He's been around the game for a while and helps Jye-Boy out. I think it's more a fact of letting (Gray) play his game, just saying, 'It's good to play your game, don't be like me, we're two completely different players'."
As the Rabbitohs look to revive their campaign, speculation has swirled about Mitchell returning to the centres, where he played for the Sydney Roosters in their 2018 and 2019 premierships.

Such a shift could reinvigorate Mitchell following a middling start to the year, and would allow the highly-rated Gray to stay in the side long-term.

Mitchell's older brother did address the specifics of who should be playing fullback, but hoped there could be room for both men in the Rabbitohs' team once Latrell returned in round 10.

"For sure (Gray) should be fitting in there," he asid.

"Having both them in the same side is going to be very dangerous. You've got the power game (from Mitchell) and you've got the speedster (Gray) as well."

Sounds positive re Jye. I think he needs to be in the side.

Whether they have the guts to do this is the question when Trell is back….

    1. Jye
    3. Trell
    6. Wighton
    7. Cody

Thanks for the info young rabbit.
I would like to get Gray, but will wait until Latrell is back to see how things pan out.
There's also speculation of JD getting dropped in a couple weeks. Too many question marks for me atm

Could be a few rookie fullbacks in the next few weeks... Gray, Armstrong, maybe Talagi. Probably worth waiting a couple of weeks and a few dollars to see which if any have any fantasy chops in the position.

Chasing 2 try score? Weren't the minutes inflated due to HIA and he could go back to 45-50 mins?

Couldn’t see an HIA on the interchanges involving Plath. Only Dolphins HIA was right at the end of first half and was back on at start of second?

As LB said it was right on half time so it had a total of about ~2mins of impact.

Reckon he gets minimum 50mins pretty comfortably from here. Had the sin bin the week before otherwise potentially plays 55mins there.

Can't see Kenny demanding many minutes anymore at lock once Null/Kaufusi are back. Plath fits the profile of a ball playing lock and fitness is clearly not an issue for him to play more mins if he can play 70 in that heat/humidity last week.

    He looks pretty solid too.

Can see him averaging in the 45-50pts range. Not a must have but value there and nice for rd13 at Mid. I kind of want him but might have 4 rd14 bye players as it is.

HIA changes are "free", they don't count as a regular interchange.

Dont think Plath is a keeper but would be a handy player over the bye period. Plays all the big bye rounds, Flegler their big minute middle will be out with origin.
If Plath averages mid 40s what will his price peak at? Hopefully a straight swap to a keeper post rd 20

I find it strange how people will make fun of matt for weeks because he points out CNK has a high average (after 2 games), and then go around and trade in a guy because he just scored 2 tries.

I don't think the odds of Plath maintaining (reaching) a 50 average are much different to the odds of CNK being the top fullback this year

Yeah that’s the appeal for me rather than being a straight up gun. He shouldn’t get any cheaper than he is unless something goes wrong. Probably gets to 630 with an average of 45 albeit quite slowly.

I had no problem with Matt pointing out CNK
I did say he wasn’t likely to be a keeper and i don’t reckon Plath will be a keeper but his DPP and byes are good for my team

Fog was one player I didn't want to have to trade out. Looking at maybe going Fog to Hughes for something different. Never owned Hughes before in Fantasy. SJ's niggles have put me off paying full price for him and seems silly to trade in Brown before his bye

    Actually agree to an extent

I think the difference is CNK there was years of data to suggest his current price was no value, whereas Plath is new and shiny and that means there are still potential (albeit unlikely) pathways to 50 avg

people don't poke fun of matt because he pointed out cnk had two good games.

on plath, i don't think anyone actually thinks last weeks score is 'the new norm' ? but emerging player getting bigger mins every week.. of course there's temptation there.

if you go back through the tape, i tried to switch trade in from Brown to Plath right on kickoff but i was too late/slow. the two tries was pretty fkn annoying in the end hahaha. i might just let him go through to the keeper now though.
