Next year I think they should consider just having 13 scoring players every week and leave the 21 man squads. I’m luckily playing 17 this week but there are so many struggling to. Byes, HIA’s and just injuries in general make it so difficult and surely that would be easy enough for Failhub to implement as they already do it for the major bye rounds.

Parramatta’s J’Maine Hopgood is on the verge of a maiden State of Origin cap as Billy Slater looks to rejuvenate his forward pack.

Hopgood, who has been a standout for the Eels since making the switch from Penrith at the beginning of last season, is expected to be included in Slater’s squad for game one at Accor Stadium.

Queensland’s selectors are toying with a surprise bench inclusion with Brisbane speedster Selwyn Cobbo being discussed as an interchange weapon to cover for any injuries to the outside backs during the match.

It means Melbourne’s Xavier Coates will nail down one wing spot alongside North Queensland’s Murray Taulagi, with Valentine Holmes and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow favoured to be in the centres.

A Warriors win today would really get their season back on track, a rest next week, then should have all their troops back for R14.

It's just 4 less players I get to enjoy watching each week so that a few people aren't sad they can't field 17 every week.

You’d still be able to watch all 21 because it would open up a lot more looping options with said Bye’s, HIA’s and injuries.

It's not the Afl. U have to maintain the catch in the Nrl.
