the one he'd fit under when we've let go of Niko, Timu, Grienke and whoever else in the future... he's not a superstar ffs, he's a rookie thats already half-way through his career that has looked good in a handful of NRL games.

Wait, are people genuinely saying that signing the reserve half in a team that is on the fringe of the 8 and was in his mid 20's when he made his debut a couple of months ago then got dropped is some sort of huge salary cap strain? You're taking the piss aren't you? Especially if it is at the expense of a 22 year old current NZ international.

Whilst at the same time conveniently ignoring the fact a little over a years ago most of the blokes were no names or unwanted has been's signed on a pittance.....before Bennett took them to a GF and we suddenly had a team which looked good on paper.

People need to take into account this isn't Supercoach and the blokes salaries aren't based on 3 round rolling averages (although some of the shitter teams should be looking into this).

I imagine we'd be well and truly under the cap even without letting anyone go
