Yeah Wallace is a good signing for the Titans. Best of luck to the bloke, I hope he can lift his game to the next level. A great bloke who is just an old school no nonsense front rower.

Surprised more hasn't been said about the fall from grace for the Broncos.

2/8 games. Dizzying heights for a Knights fan but shocking for the Broncos.

The way they're playing they'll struggle to make the 8. Top 4 is fast becoming a dog fight.

I'm surprised more hasn't been made of the cheap shot the grub McGuire put on. How many weeks is he going to get ?

What's to say? even when we were winning it's been a season plagued with injuries and disruptions and now we throw plain old awful football into the mix and it's a disaster.

For a team like the Broncos they should have better depth you would think? Especially in the 9.

To be fair we let go of Granville and Parcell to allow them to get a starting gig and play big minutes like they deserve. Definitely prefer if we kept one of them over Niko at hooker.

As an organisation that should be trying to win premiership, letting guys go because they deserve to play NRL is a bit short sighted. Ash Taylor, yeah sure cause Hunt and Milf aren't going anywhere but when you don't have a back up 9 at all it's a concern.

^^ This is the definition of the salary cap.

That logic is a bit backwards, we're paying to keep a team that is choccas with representative players and fit it under a salary cap, our depth is going to suffer, especially when a lot of our decent depth players keep getting snatched by clubs offering starting spot money, which has happened to our last 3 back-up 9's (Granville, Parcell & Kodi supposed to be off to the Storm next year)

And the Broncs have a greater capacity with TPAs which I reckon can subvert the salary cap.

If I'm a Broncos fan I'm honestly not too concerned, I've got a side stacked full of rep stars, I know we can play much better, as per the start of the season, everyone is starting to write us off as opposed to gunning for us and we have the greatest coach in the game. A mid season slump isn't ideal, but I'd still be thinking if we click and sort a few defensive issues, we win the GF comfortably after last years experience.

Unless we can field a full strength squad there is no way we can beat the reigning Premiers.

I fail to see what is so funny about the truth. Care to explain what is so funny? The Cowboys and Sea Eagles offered Granville and Parcell a gig that will see them playing increased mins in the NRL. The exact same reason why Nikorima left for the Roosters.

I know that as a Bronco's fan, you are not really use to seeing the salary cap work how it was meant to - but this is literally what the cap is for.
A young guy comes into grade, has an established player in front of him, another team offers them money/opportunity/both - whether they are off contract or not (I dont know if those guys were) and the player goes.

It's got nothing to do with a club doing the player a favour or not to give them a chance to play someone else. If a player wants out of a contract for an opportunity somewhere else, these days, they are just granted a release. It is a stock standard part of business.

Better get your knife and fork ready cause you will be chowing down on short shorts real soon.

Broncos will not make the GF this year. Open to any and all bets.

We're playing attrocious. Should make the top 8, but we'll have to probably win 5/6 to have any chance of the top 4, because we're 1.5 wins behind Canberra.

Yes we've been hit by injury, origin and suspension, and our depth isn't fantastic, but really the most disappointing thing has been the way we play. So much dropped ball, and just no cohesion in attack. Boyd and Oates are the only two players in the backline who seem in any sort of form at the moment.

They're also not playing smart. They only ran one on one at one of the worst defenders in the league on Friday, and when they did Boyd scored. Why not do that again.

In defence they're not being aggressive enough with their line speed. Friday night was pretty representative of the last 2 months. No matter where the opposition start their set, they are always in position to put up a bomb on the last. I only remember one long kick by Penrith on Friday night. That was the great kick he did that forced a drop out from half way.

About the only silver lining we have at the moment is an okay draw coming home, and the fact that at the start of the season we showed we had the ability to be premiers. If we hadn't shown that I'd say this season is a write off (like Souths for example), but there is a small chance we can come back because we have the players to be able to do it. I also think this is one of the softer years in the comp for some time. Melbourne and Cowboys will be tough, but there is something about about Cronulla that makes me think they're going to crash before the final hurdle (perhaps 49 years of history). I don't think the Dogs, Raiders, or any other teams are good enough to win 3-4 matches in a row against top 8 opposition.

I still think they will come good.
Jeez oates has had a target on him lately. They way he carries the ball has become a real target for defenders, especially early in the game.
