So, in other words, it's the perfect little shitstorm for you guys that dream of the Broncos being taken down a peg, huh? If the video is decided to definitely be of the player in question, he's named and shamed and you have something to hang over Broncos fans heads and you finally get a brand spanking new set of jokes to play with (though not really, you'll just recycle all the stuff you used whenever Locky rumours were discussed)...
If nothing comes of it, in your mind, without even seeing the footage in question, it was definitely him in the video, you get to continue to push your little corrupt Broncos storyline AND you'll go ahead and pull out that set of jokes anyway, because the Broncos are guilty until proven innocent (though not even then, because we all know the innonence is all a cover-up )
Personally I'd like to see players named and shamed then booted out of the game because I'm sick of our great game being ruined year in and year out by these fuckheads who take their position for granted.
If it has to be any club I'd prefer it to be the Broncos purely because of their fan base, the type that absolutely shit on every other club when something happens and then pretend that they aren't as fucked up and corrupt as everyone else.
At the end of the day I'd rather it not happen at all, I'd rather the players get their act together and respect the game but until the NRL crack down on it it won't be happening.

Actually no. As per all the celebrity videos and even AFL videos of clearly identifiable people racking up or smoking bongs the police can't do anything because they don't have the substance to test. So unless the person in question admits it was an illegal substance. the police have nothing but a video of a guy snorting sherbet off a toilet seat as a drunken bet or smoking tobacco.
BOOM!!
Glad to see someone gets my point.

Someone show Honeysett the video! Im sure he can identify the substance

So your point is because he wasn't arrested on the spot he's free and clear? Solid.
As for what it is, the way these guys train I'd say it's exxies. Crushed up and snorted and out of your system in two days.

So rather then damage a players reputation in case of a mistake they have given the player benefit of the doubt (otherwise known as innocent until proven guilty) until more is known, or the player is actually found guilty which in this instance is going to be hard to do considering the video could of been taken a year or two ago and the player in question has not been caught with any incriminating evidence on him in person such as the case was with Norman.

With a bye the following week and a couple of days off, you can go stronger and just not answer the door.

I love how this has turned into a "named/not named thing". Its totally taken the spotlight away from the fact a first grade player was caught snorting something off a toiletseat and there is footage of it.
Great to see that Lockyer didnt take the drug culture with him when he left.

There could be something to this story, and if there is I hope the player is suitably punished, no matter who it is. It could also be some gym junkie who reckons that he sort of looks like an NRL player in a poor quality phone video and wants to make some serious money. Perhaps this story is not going anywhere because the player alleged had a water tight alibi.

if a first grade player was caught snorting something off a toilet seat, there would be no "named/not named thing"... right now, a person who looks like he could be a first grade player was caught snorting something off a toilet seat in a shitty quality video.
my thoughts are in-line with Dip's, if it turns out it was actually him, throw the book at him, absolutely no room for that shit in our game, but until then, i hope none of you lot has anything to do with a court of law, the defendant would be up shit creek with you lot itching to give the guilty verdict before you even see the evidence.

OK, so emotions aside, simple reasoning would suggest that old mate knew who it was, and followed them into the toilets. Makes more sense than running a camera across a line of stalls and seeing what you get (apart from a black eye).
So yeah - it's more than likely a Bronco, and it could be a half decent one by reports.
A couple of things occur to me at that point, given the rumours are it's a "Future Origin Player".
1. If it's Jimmy, it's OK because he's a New South Welshman.
2. If it's Benny, he could realistically claim he's been struggling recently for form, and studied AJ's playing career for tips. Figured if he got involved in a drugs scandal, he could shave a few years off the process and be named an Immortal before he's 30
3. If it was a forward, no one cares. They're meat head forwards.

If its a future NSW player then I wouldnt be surprised. They have had an extremely poor culture for 10+ years now.

Yet QLDers are the ones who got wrapped up in the drug thing a number of years ago.

Well if you close your eyes and wish really hard for it, it may just happen, even if you are ineligible. Just ask Gregory

Good to see the Beoncos back finally, was starting to think I'd done my hard earned on a sure thing. Have taken them again at a better price to spread the dollars. Still confident with there Rep stacked side they will get the Chocolates. Supercoach has them primed for a post Origin surge. Just lucky the Eels are such a debacle, otherwise they might have been in trouble. Will be pumped to see Parker go out a winner over Gallen.

Shame Wallace is going. He's no superstar but does his job well IMO. We won't have a lot of size in the front row next year unless there's some signings. McGuire isn't that big, Blair is big but isn't really a hit-up type of prop. Joe O isn't that big. Even with Parker retiring, the back row seems fine with guys like Sua, Pangia and Arrow coming through. I'd expect Thaiday to play up front a bit more next year.
Who knows. Maybe Bennett on the rules committee thinks interchange will go down to 6 next year and is not worried about smaller front rowers.

I like Wallace a lot, good signing for the Titans. He looks like he should be playing big minutes, 55+ i reckon and he just wont get that under Bennett
