Actually no. As per all the celebrity videos and even AFL videos of clearly identifiable people racking up or smoking bongs the police can't do anything because they don't have the substance to test. So unless the person in question admits it was an illegal substance. the police have nothing but a video of a guy snorting sherbet off a toilet seat as a drunken bet or smoking tobacco.
So, in other words, it's the perfect little shitstorm for you guys that dream of the Broncos being taken down a peg, huh? If the video is decided to definitely be of the player in question, he's named and shamed and you have something to hang over Broncos fans heads and you finally get a brand spanking new set of jokes to play with (though not really, you'll just recycle all the stuff you used whenever Locky rumours were discussed)...
If nothing comes of it, in your mind, without even seeing the footage in question, it was definitely him in the video, you get to continue to push your little corrupt Broncos storyline AND you'll go ahead and pull out that set of jokes anyway, because the Broncos are guilty until proven innocent (though not even then, because we all know the innonence is all a cover-up
)
