I actually like Ennis, but watching him slap Cam Smith on the back after a mistake, and then getting SMASHED was the highlight of the game for me. Beer coming out of the nostrils-type event.

He seriously got hit that hard the cameraman didn't know where he went, and the had to cut to another angle.

Anyway - congratulations Sharks. How they ran that hard all game is beyond me, and will probably instigate another round of "pee in the cup, please". I actually thought Melbourne did amazingly well to have any petrol left in the tank after the first half, and then come back to take the lead.

Luke Lewis' face looks like it was assembled with used pallets.

Was thinking that melbourne would 100% come back and win, especially after all the fucking ball cronulla had in the first half. They still nearly did.

Running at cam smith all night was a brilliant game plan, putting pressure on cronk really fucked the storm too.

Was a fucking awesome game to watch, happy to see ennis go out on top, hoping gallen follows.

If that smith pass goes to the chest it looks like a try in the dying seconds. Need to watch a replay though. Didnt get home until after 2am.

Totally changes my whole thought process league wise now, genuinely feels like a weight has been lifted of my shoulders and i am just a mere fan.

Had Fifita as last try scorer. Also had that Into Fifita for CC Medal. I was robbed. Good game though, just wish Gallen had got injured on the Friday and couldn't play.

Fifita would have had to walked on water to get the Churchill. It's a bit of a politicala award, and Fifita is not a preferred recipient

    100%

Thought the Maloney bet I threw on a few weeks back was a chance, given it was a lottery in terms of next best after Fifita.....but no such luck.

Probably the most heartbreaking bet I had though was Luke Lewis FTS and seeing that Melbourne khunt (not even sure who it was) mow him down about 1mm short.

Anyway, not a bad GF in the end due to the closeness of the contest and much like when Souths broke their premiership drought....good on the Sharkies and congratulations on a much deserved victory (everyone except Gallen that is).

lewis not reaching out is a pretty under rated play given sharks scored soon after

honestly reckon at least 85% of players would have been penalized for reaching out and that number probably grows to 95% when only including forwards

Fully agree and if I were a coach I'd be showing that play to my team over and over.

The same goes for the miracle kicks or passes that these blokes often try when on a fast break.
Just play the percentages, take the tackle and score on the next couple of plays.

completely agree there, fuck it can be frustrating when your team makes a break on 2nd or 3rd tackle but ends up gifting the ball to other team

Well articulated and totally agree mate. After [personally] 42 yrs of following them, it seemed that they were destined to never win - and I was strangely somewhat comfortable with that - now we're just mere mortals, haha.

With all the pubs near me shut, I headed off to Saints Leagues about 1a.m - that was fun Laugh 3

    +1
That was my 2nd biggest play of the night after Fifita's try, and I reckon your 95% estimate is pretty spot on.

I guess others here will laugh, but in addition i agree to with u about the accepting it and being somewhat comfortable with it. Genuinely have that in me. Dont know if thats good or bad. But very familiar thoughtlines amongst some sharky supporters.
