The Broncos never moved a final from Suncorp to Dairy Farmers. They did agree to a final being moved from SFS to Dairy Farmers in 2004. And don't mistake taking a gig for promoting the game. In England he was criticised for his lack of promotion.

The bronco v cowboys games are just amazing. Personally, I think they are evidence that we dont need expansion in our game just yet. There just isnt the quality of players around to fill out more teams.

If anything, relocation is the key. Look at the NFL and NBA, its a pretty common thing for a team to relocate. Sure, you lose a couple fans, but you also gain a fuckload new ones.

I agree with this! If 5 or 6 games a week were always like these ones week in week out I think there would be a brilliant argument for expansion but the quality isn't just there yet hopefully it does raise to that I think that's always the goal but cant rush these things

Our forwards should be a bit dirty at the playmakers this time around. Couldn't have asked for a better platform a few times late in the game to win it.

Once again though.... 60 minutes in, thinking "not this shit again". Seriously good games

For those who watched the Bennett segment on Matty Johns tonight, thoughts? In particular, the obvious throw from Matty at the end leading into the next segment "show some backbone". I love Matty, but thought it was just a bit too overt.

I thought Paul Kent came off looking bad. He name drops Marshall as if he's quoted him on Wednesday, then says Thursday he never spoke to him and Bennett is paranoid. It at best is sloppy journalism if he says how Marshall feels without actually speaking to him.

And yeah, the backbone line from Johns was poor form from someone who hates Bennett.

Bennett is a grub. Good to see some in the media showing some backbone and standing up for themselves.

I recorded it and haven't watched it as yet but reading the article on Fox today, it is not only sloppy journalism regarding his initial comments about Marshall but his reaction ever since Wayne has called him out on it, are very piss poor.

Effectively, Kent has been embarrassed and is now trying to cover it up by bringing Bennett's personal life into the equation and incorrectly accusing Wayne of throwing Benji under the bus.
It's gutless and poor from an experienced journo who should be better than that.

It's in the big calls for all to see. Bennett has lost his aura, he's sitting in a house of cards and it's all about to fall around him. He has banned his employer from speaking to him. Get me some of the crack this guy is smoking.

As for Kent, a trusted source delivers that story to you, you print it. It's not something serious where you would want two independent sources with the same story before you took it to print. It how a guy was feeling for gods sake. Pony supporters trying to make Bennett look like something other than a cheating home wrecking has been coach.

    Kent says Marshall is Horrified
Marshall says he has never said that
Bennett says Marshall told him he never said that so Kent must have made it up.

One of them is lying, who's to say it's not Kent. Maybe it was Marshall. It could have been Bennett but I don't understand why he would since he's also said judge a player by what he does on the field not the training paddock. He said it about Renouf, and no more than 3 weeks ago he said it about Hayne.

To me from his body language and the way he was speaking, it seemed like Kent got called out, and since he's the one hosting a 1 hour footy show 3 nights a week, he has now tried to cover it up an deflect the attention with a personal attack instead of owning up that he either made it up or exaggerated it.

"He's the type of bloke that if you have to do 10 sets and no-one's watching, he only does 8".  Rolling Eyes  If no-one sees him, how do they know he only did 8. How do they know he didn't do 10? Or 12?

Or maybe Bennett is being a tosser because NewsLtd has been questioning if he's lost it and is interested in his personal life.
Going by recent events I know which one I'd be more comfortable calling out on BS and it isn't Kent.

Just caught up on it all and Kent, in his latest article, said he has apologized to Marshall for throwing him under the bus. Seems like a pretty big admission lol. The guy is a germ.

Fully understand you are merely trolling but in terms of your last comment about BS, hasn't Kent already basically admitted that it was him?

One of them is lying, ?

Kent says Marshall is horrified (that's what Kent's Bronco's Sauce lets call him Darius told him)
Marshall says he never said that = true it was let's call him Darius paraphrasing Marshall using an emotion to describe his comments
Bennett says Marshall told him he never said that so Kent must have made it up. = Again true

No one lied, just Kent using language to give the lowest common denominators the impression Benji said it and Bennett trying to manipulate the media to cover up the truth.

I don't mind Paul Kent. I think he's a pretty insightful journalist most of the time, but in this case he's wrong. Even in this morning's article he try's to justify his stance by saying among other things:

"It was part of the Bennett mystique. But that mystique is dead now.

Bennett sat in a press conference at last year’s Four Nations and publicly ripped the attitude of his captain Sam Burgess.

Burgess was sitting next to him.

So we can assume it is all right for Bennett, his God-complex complete, to rip his player publicly in front of the cameras but it is not all right for a 255-game player like Marshall to privately question the work ethic of a teammate?"

This is what Bennett actually said, it is nothing to do with Burgess' attitude:

"The problem is our inability to continually maintain pressure... not finding the sideline on two occasions, which is pretty important in any context let alone against the best team in the world. Then the stupid penalties we continually give away. Sam gives away far too many penalties - I'll be quite candid with you. He does that at South Sydney as well so he needs to change his behaviour.

that was an odd game last night

outside of thaiday being quiet and papali being pretty good, i thought the broncos starting pack absolutely dominated the raiders last night. especially in the middle third, Shannon Boyd was no where to be seen, paulo was never in the middle and blair was really strong i thought.

Roberts seemed to be on top of croker all night
Raiders couldn't hold the ball in the second half
Hunt player well, sezar had a shocker

with all that being in play, i would have though broncos would have won by 30 and one stage, i thought they were going too but they just couldn't put them away

raiders bench was pretty strong i guess and milford defs looks off his game but geez i can't believe kahu needed to kick a field goal to seal that game

Behaviour reflects attitude. He didnt specifically say attitude but he criticises his behaviour - which is essentially criticising his attitude.
Either way, he ripped the captain of his Country publicly.

He should be doing at least 12-20 hitups a match.
