Yeah I did that too even though I knew it was BS. Then again I've been trying to open it every couple of days anyway......I have a problem

Pookus McFly wrote:...but while I am popping my head in to start the season, I will may as well give my two cents on an important issue I saw whilst lurking. People talking about cheap hookers (heh) like Cherrington, Balin etc. I can never justify giving up one of just two hooker spots to try and milk a cash cow. You really should have about the same amount of cash cows in your team regardless of position (pretty much any NPR), so why is it so important to have one in hooker anyway? Unlike every other position, if that reserve hooker tanks (either through injury or poor scoring), and the gap to a good hooker is financially unassailable, then you could be stuck with them all season and have no backup for that position. Granted I am a conservative player, but is the reward from a POD cashcow really mitigating the potential of being stuck with a Scott Moore all season?

Okay, enough of the serious talk. Hope everyone has been well in the off season!
Cricket is great and all, but I'm usually thinking about footy while watching it.

Thoughts on Jarrod Wallace? Average of 30.8 in 36.4 minutes = ppm 0.85. Last five games ppm went up with shorter stints but for this exercise lets say ppm of 0.85. Increasing by 100k in value would require minutes to go up to 49. Will he get them?

Edit: played seven games at 46min+ last year for avg of 40.6. Might be one to watch assuming he is starting.

    Cheers mate, you too.

In answer to your strategy question, it ended up being $470,000 left after I made my initial team. It definitely helped me in the first 4 weeks once we saw minutes/interchanges/injuries etc. I ended up ranked 360 which I was wrapped with. I'll be looking to do the same thing nd also bye plan heavily as well.

The fact you were in the Top 50 for a fair bit of the year I'd keep doing what you are doing to be honest! You even got into the Top 20/10 at one stage?

Yeah about 25th was my peak i think. Fell over at the end with a couple of dud picks and could've used another trade or two. Biggest regret was trading Merrin early when he was shit. Lets try and limit those sideways tradesthis year.

you would imagine that he's going to the Titans for more game time not less, however who's to know until he starts playing?

Are we looking at a post Aussie Day release? That would work out nicely as I'm on annual leave.

I guess what I'm asking is how do people see the titans prop/bench rotation going? Crystal ball stuff

    I would imagine the following

    8 Jarrod Wallace
    9 Nathan Peats
    10 Ryan James
    11 Zeb Taia
    12 Kevin Proctor
    13 Agnatius Paasi

    Interchange:
    14 Eddy Pettybourne
    15 Leivaha Pulu
    16 Chris McQueen
    17 Ryan Simpkins/David Shillington

However they could drop out someone like Pettybourne and add in Tyrone Roberts/Elgey depending on how they shape up.

You would imagine he would be to start the season given their lack of depth in the backs at least until week two when he's injured.

Do you pick a late bloomer hoping they can continue their end of 2016 form.

Or do you avoid late bloomers due to their slow starts to the year and pick them up cheaper several rounds in when they have dropped price.

I'm reluctant to not start the season without Tedesco, massive outlay which i dont like in the backs but the tigers always seem to fire early

Chambers a big bounceback candidate for me also!

The first four games he played at centre he failed to finish the games last season. Was looking at his finish last year and seemed to only score well when scoring tries. Scored five in the last five games.

Pretty good team. Similar to mine in setup

    McInnes vs hodgson
    Vaughan vs JWH
    TPangaiJ vs KBrom
    DCE. Vs Moses
    Nona. Vs Mcrone
    Trobjevic. Vs Chambers
    V Holmes vs tedesco

Cheapie a will show themselves. I'm not sure which matchup I like above although I feel my team should require less trades as I have gone more guns/cows approach

(hope m finallly postong in the right area)attempt #3 haha. Hii guys/gals, new user. 2nd fantasy year. Loving the goss!!. Just a small error I've picked up on a-z team picker site. Ben matulino is listed as $358,000 on team picker. He is in fact $385,000. Heads up now rather than being caught out in other positions come game day

With the majority likely to start with Holmes RTS and Hayne at the back it could be a huge POD having Tedesco or Munster

Only definite keepers i can see there are Tedesco and DCE. Few others with potential to be keepers in Hodgson, Trbojevic, Holmes
