Lower housing prices, less traffic, better weather. This may not apply to Sims who is coming from Newcastle (even lower rent, and far less traffic etc..) but when players get out of Sydney and come up to Brisbane everybody wants to neglect the fact that Brissy is just a nice place to live and that entices people to make sacrifices to come here. That and the fact that players want to play under Bennett. Maybe if your city was nicer your teams could do the same Razz  (oh No he didn't!)

Brisbane is a shit hole. I lived there for over a year. The weather sucks, the people on large couldn't spell XXXX (not anyone here) no real beach is horrible. The casino is a joke, the Valley is one of the worst places I've ever seen. However Suncorp is the absolute best league ground in the world.

You are from Perth. I think that basically settles any argument from you.

dont think he will be a Tedesco/CWalker/Munster style of FB who rack up TB's so he will rely on tries and assisting others to get his stats. If manly struggle he may not find the extra fantasy level people are expecting but he is and uber talent will at the very least hold his avg

Nevermind that our QPAC and GOMA get the same performances and  exhibits than other big city equivalents at a fraction of the entry prices. We have excellent venues, parks and gardens with enough allocated parking to allow you to drive. And since you can actually use the roads here, it is quite a treat. Maybe I just don't understand casinos. As long as there are a few kinds of wheels and tables to lose all your money at, I don't see what is missing? Let's all get one thing straight though... if you arn't on the East coast then you ain't even in the game, son!

Plus it might take a few games for manly's attack to click.
I def want turbo in my team at some stage but dont think i can fit him in to start with. Hope he comes down in price

Ever been to Perth? I'm happy to show you guys around. Beaches are absolutely beautiful. Swan Valley us brilliant for wineries and breweries. People are friendly and nice and don't talk in grunts.

Also we don't have a suburb called indooroopilly that you pronounce by missing out 50% of the word.

Why has there been zero talk about Josh Hodgson? Doesn't he play 80 with Baptiste injured for most of the season?

yeah it is a shame about the beaches. Goldy and Sunny Coasts a good 60 min drive either side. I lived in Bowen for a few years before I came back to Brissy (I grew up here) and they have some of the best secret beaches in Australia, so I do miss the beaches. Better than when I lived in Townsville though, no good beaches for miles, just little holes like Paluma.

Back to fantasy, I think Ricky will have a substitute hooker. TLT will be pretty revealing though and an 80 minute Hodgson makes his price undervalued.

No but you do have Innaloo and Upper Swan.

But I do like Perth - if I had to choose a capital city to live in it would be up there with Brisbane and Melbourne.

I wouldn't be so fast to jump on Hodgson, yeah baptiste is injured but more often than not Hodgson stayed on the field when Baptiste went on, wouldn't be surprised if he played 80 most weeks last year already. Added to which nobody really knows how Ricky will use the bench, he has turner, Clydesdale or even LCroker he could give a bench spot to if he doesn't want to run four forwards and could change it week to week. By all means pick him up if you just want last year's scores which were good, but temper expectations of being underpriced

A Raiders supporter trying to talk us out of selecting Hodgson. Suspect

As for the take a pay cut to live in Brisbane thing..... You must be having a laugh. When I get back to a PC and can type it up I will, but no way people go from clubs like raiders titans and knights to Broncos, taking hundreds of thousands less each year because Brisbane has cheaper houses and less traffic...

    Haha, and Wanneroo.

Very hard to get used to how things are pronounced over here. Copped stick for years until I learned to pretty much just pronounce every vowel in a Town's name the opposite of how it should be. Seems to work.

Sounds like you are wanting to volunteer to be Caretaker Coach of my squad? Razz

Actually I was considering asking Welshy if he wouldn't mind covering for me. He did so last year or the year before IIRC and all went smoothly.

Specifically said this does not apply to Korbin Sims coming from Newcastle because I knew someone would still mix my words. As said, was talking about players moving from Sydney.
