whats the difference between brailey and king, loads of people seemed worried about king but no one really worried about brailey
brailey less injury prone?? similar levels of competition for 9 jersey tho?? brailey not been a dud in other years
its a fair point, but i think most of the discussion about King was arguing if he was A) going to be an 80 min player, and B) would he even be the first choice hooker, and C) if he was A and/or B in rnd 1, how long would it last?
Brailey appears to have emerged as the first choice #9 and has been backed by Flanagan and Gallen for that role now. People were able to see with their own eyes what you can expect from him in the WCC, and I don't think anyone here is over-rating him or placing unnecessary expectations on what you'd get from him. King is still a bit of a myth and doesn't appear as though he'll even feature in the Eels side. Brailey is no guarantee either, there are others floating around that Eels squad but Mortimer seems unfavoured, Nu Brown doesn't seem a legitimate big minutes hooking chance, and Cherrington hasn't been seen. The unknown factor is Segeyaro.
By the same token the money making cheapies in FRF/2RF just have not appeared which means making money in the hooker position (rather than running two guns) is tempting for most.
