Phythian out, Cotric to WFB(no more CTR/WFB switcharoo), Sione to CTR, Stimson in with Kaufusi replacing Sione as a reserve and Sione replacing Cotric as a starter. Can probably wait a week to see how Stimson scores/if he is gonna get minutes. I have a feeling Stimson will end up grabbing the edge role with KBrom back to the bench when JBrom gets back

That's a huge call that is. Would like it to be true aswell

I had Koro as my 2nd hooker thinking this could be his year at nailing down a full time hooker gig. I think it is a mistake after seeing the way he was used, and performed, last week. With the addition of Cullen to the bench, along with Brown, I'm biting the bullet and downgrading him to Pritchard, who it looks like is being given the opportunity to establish himself as the Eels 80 minute hooker. It frees up enough cash to bring Norman into my halves and move Walker to FB. I'm still carrying Pythian now though, but figure he can wait.

    Looking at;

    Koro > Pritchard
    Tia Maria > Norman

    Team after those trades

    Smith, Pritchard
    McGuire, Vaughan, Kaufusi
    Surgess, Bromwich, ET, Bateman
    Norman, Jacks
    Turbo, Smat
    Walker, Hayne, RTS, Suli

I.Papalli, Kaufusi, Yates, Hingano, Fogarty, Idris, Kelly, Pythian - 18k.

Now watch Koro score 60 against his old club.
no problem with these trades, mid-ranger to cow and mid ranger to gun. Easy

By the time it has happened he has probably made too much cash to consider as a downgrade target. I think this week KBrom plays the first 30 on the edge, goes off for Stimson who finishes the game on the edge and comes back for 20 odd in the middle

Who should I play out of Moga, Talakai or Kelly in the 17 this week?

I think you can definitely wait on Stimson.
Coming from the bench he'll be doing very well to crack 30 points, so unlikely to get a massive price rise. Unless he scores a 30 point try, JDB style

    I'm thinking about doing exactly the same thing that multiple.sorgasms is thinking.  Python out for Stimson to move SMat down.  Saifiti out for Barnett too.  Means I don't have the likes of Kelly in the starting lineup, but would have to play a rookie as a reserve anyway, so probably no difference.  Looking at the team after that though, it looks solid across the park;

    Smith Brailey
    Fifita Musgrove Kafusi Yates
Surgess Barnett Carty Sironen Winterstein Stimson
    Lamb Norman Jacks Elgey
    SMat Talakai Kelly Idris
    Hayne RTS Turbo Suli Cotric

    4th reserve undecided.  Hmmm......not bad.

Keary could be a good candidate for this sort of strategy.

4 of the 6 teams they have coming up should provide plenty of attacking opportunities for the Roosters, and his combination with Pearce was looking pretty good.

Priced at 340k with a score of 70 odd to live off could provide a big boost

Hmm, good call. I wonder if i could play around and get this to work as I'm currently playing luke fucking kelly in my halves so surely even if it falls flat it can't be worse.

regarding JBrom... with his low score of 7, upon his return to the field he'll have another 2 games worth of price cuts if he hits his 51pnt avg from last season. He'll lose about 70k...

I might pick him up at his low price to make an easy 70k

Farah I was happy with but I can't afford to let McInnes get 100s of poInto and 10s of thousands in front. Feels a mistake choice of the 2  at the point as weird as that sounds fresh off a 57

i expected McInnes to be a 60 point player this year and was the player I most wanted but couldn't fit in when I decided that I needed Brailey for cash making. Just hoping now that he goes a little lower than expectations (id cop 55's while I dont have him), but I just can't see it happening. He will be involved in everything and will continue to pick up tries imo (not every week but enough to ensure his avg is bolstered by them).

Yes kind of, it looks like to me as elgey was doing more of the kicking and maybe jacks was targeted as he was the new guy. Maybe his tackle count drops and elgey improves. But that's just my gut

Cheers, yeah maybe best to be cautious and hold off for one more week.

I think Elgey is a hold this week. I too was considering dropping him for Jacks, but I'm not sure Jacks will be making 35 tackles each week... and surely Elgey wont miss as many this week.

What I am strongly considering though is dumping JWH to Gubb. They looked to have similar output, with Gubb 100k cheaper....could free up some coin for the seemingly inevitable Brailey -> Seggy trade

I was just thinking the same thing - I can trade him to Talakai or Moga via DPPs, and in the time JBrom is out + his price drops if he averages 50 on return vs Talakai or Moga averaging 30-35 in the same period would see a net value advantage of 120-130k compared to holding him.

Carrying on from the other day when we were talking how lowered priced players matching the scores of higher priced players. I think we were comparing Wallace v K-Brom in round 1.
My question is do we think Bateman @ 309k (58 mins scored 42 in round 1) can match ET @ 397k (61 mins scored 40 in round 1). I'm looking for a cash grab as only have 2k bank & with Tapine out for 5 weeks I think Bateman plays more mins. I expect ET to continue to play 60ish mins with both Sue & Lawrence playing 80 mins. Thoughts.

Mitchell Moses talking about TMM, (from the SMH)

"He's a class player who can pull something out of nothing. We'll have to be on our toes this weekend. He's a good kid. I was really close to him when he was at the Tigers. He's just so quick with the ball and on his feet. He's got a good kicking game. He's got a good all-round game. We're going to have to watch him this week and put a bit of pressure on him."

I wish we could see it.

Tapine is out for a while but Taylor is available for selection next week and Whitehead will be back in the pack once Croker returns (which could be as little as 2 weeks away, could be longer, haven't seen an update in a while), which would push Soli out of 2nd row. Not saying it wont work out for you as a purely short term thing, just giving you the full picture so you can make the call yourself.
