I think calling people by their numbers would be easier for the refs as well. There's some difficult names out there.

Just saw the Thaiday thumb incident again, for mine if you're on the field and you're injured you're fair game. However it's still a dog act and not in the spirit of the game, which Thaiday is known for. Suspension? No. Further lack of respect? Absolutely.

I might be a seanut, but targetting an injury that someone brings into the game is perfectly acceptable as long as it's done in the course of the game (e.g. putting a big hit on someone who has a rib injury or gang tackling a guy with a hip injury). If they go into the game, as an opponent you're entitled to treat them as if they're 100% fit. Doing things that aren't part of the game like trying to twist someone's wrist, stepping on their hands or pulling at stiches is a grub act though.

I suspect while Thaiday's act was grubby, in reality it probably wasn't as bad as it looked given the only time I saw it was in super-slow motion.

twitter/facebook/so called experts like matty johns continue to lose their shit over a call the bunker got 100% right in a quick amount of time.


i give up, the rugby league community's desire to whinge always seems to trump logical arguments


to add to that, how do the commentators and fans not realize that the bunker would have already seen the angle we saw after the try(which didn't change the fact it was a knock on), they have 38 screens FFS, they don't just have the one angle playing through. we don't see what they see, we see what the broadcaster shows us

I thought it was a try based on the rules that it hasn't lose contact with his arm but it appears that they have changed that rule.

However The Bunker has twitter therefore they should tweet out something like "We see all angles not just the one TV display, Chambers was short of the line when his hand is taken off the ball, therefore he's short and it's a knock on"

No. So every contrary conduct charge takes the early plea, reduces the fine and takes the tax deduction.

i talked about the dogs in the dogs thread but re warriors, isaac luke is deadset using them for an early retirement, with the ball they had, the luke of the past would have carved us up, there was a time in the 2nd half where he could have had a tried kasiano 1 on 1 with a little space, in the past he takes him on and scores. instead he threw a shocking pass that made the first receiver stop to catch it


he used to put on a few shots defensively but rarely seems to do that now. just hasn't seemed like the same player since he got there


thought he'd bounce back this year, doesn't look the case

This. That spine when Foran starts is arguably the best in the comp, on paper. If Luke actually puts in then that could translate in practice as well.

Fuck thaiday, its not a foot play at all. Reefing on someones hand like that is in the exact same class as a chicken wing or neck twist etc.

Totally against the spirit of the game.
