Worry about Gutherson is his current purple patch, what avg does his current price put him at? I cant see him averaging more than 40-45 so not a keeper and will require a trade out eventually, his byes might counteract that and make it worth the double trade mindClack Bocks wrote:

I'm actually leaning towards Hoare, think he can do better than his n=1 sample so far.

Think I will go
Suli -> Hoare (smat to centre)
Sironen -> Whitehead
Strengthens both centre and 2RF. Don't care about the extra 10k or by waiting a week, I need to make up some lost ground after last weeks disaster.

Is suli really a trade out already? I would probably think about getting rid of moga first before suli.

Will be interesting to see what lineup the Tigers put out this week. Don't expect mass changes but something has to give. How long does Naiqama stay in the NRL?

Player spotlight = Paul Vaughan
Paul Vaughan's stats from previous years are below. Basically a consistent 1 ppm player who plays around 42 minutes and averages the same.
Just curious about what has changed? (other than changing clubs and the big 71 point game)
Has he gone to the Fifita level of PPM as his minutes are similar to previous years?
2016 = 41 points avg, 40 minutes, 18 games
2015 = 42 points avg, 42 minutes, 24 games
2014 = 42 points avg , 47 minutes, 23 games

Why is a 40-45pt wfb not a keeper?
Last week was the optimum week to bring him in. Yes I'd like to look for value but I'm willing to pay a small premium rather than drain my stash allocated to Whitehead

I just think he's finally becoming the player alot expected him to be in the previous two years or so.
The 71 was boosted by a big line break but if he continues to play the way he is, he'll get more as the season goes on.
Will play origin this year if his current form continues.

45 is keeper level in the WFB but I doubt he can maintain a season average of that he doesn't have the KM base stats gun halves get to maintain it. That is of course based on the fact he stops scoring tries! With his dpp he would be an ideal end of season 18th man candidate to float between the WFB and HalfsClack Bocks wrote:

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 21
Anyone worried with JBrom, and Whitehead and BThompson's scores over the weekend with tries. I reckon we can wait at least a couple of weeks to bring these guys in.
And I refuse to bring in gutherson at that price. Be surprised if he hits 40 the next two weeks.
Before teamlists
Idris to Ponga
Siro to AFB
Very sideways trades on the face of it but Idris and Siro could sit idle for 3/4 weeks and Ponga and Fonua Blake could make 50-70K in that time. Banking they score more points at this stage also.
I'm done with Siro's laziness and missed tackles. Has the odd good score in him.

Reserve grade have been getting flogged too, so not like there are many people demanding selection

Booze, i think the biggest difference is pecking order. With us he was valued, but never the top dog (his combo and friendship with boydy though was some bromance stuff to be remembered). Now he not only gets more minutes, but has higher expectations and i think it also feeds his confidence.
Quite A while back he played lock for us and absolutely exploded, getting involved in absolutely everything. When i chose him to start the year that was the one thing that stuck in my mind the most. Mind you he had had some big games for us followed by quiet stints so it might be too early to call. Remember it's rd3 and not a sprint

If anyone is thinking about dumping any Tigers players, I'd keep them for at least one more week. Players tend to do a complete turn around as soon as a coach is sacked.

Yep, expect them to put 60 on whoever they play before continuing to phone it in. As is rugby league traditionitsJay wrote:If anyone is thinking about dumping any Tigers players, I'd keep them for at least one more week.

He's just the closest to peaking for most people I think and seems many of us didn't keep much of a bank. Breakeven is 16 this week, so not much of a risk holding him, but playing on the wing he could easily fall short and be a trade out next week anyway.
I don't have Moga, but I'd be tossing up between the 2 if I had both. Breakeven is 17, so again not much risk holding. I'd kinda prefer a Broncos CTR over a rookie Tiger's winger, but the past 2 games weren't great for Moga and doesn't have dual position flexibility. Suli's last game could just be a one-off being part of a belting.. Previous week's 28 with a ~14 point play bombed over the line.. I'm not exactly cheering if I end up cashing Suli out this week.
Main reason I kinda want to pull the trigger on Suli this week, is with two trades already planned - Cow to Cheapie and Sironen to Gun - if I lose a player or two to injury/suspension next week, those trades probably going out the window as I patch holes instead.
My other cows FWinter, Hingano, Talakai, Kelly and RJennings all seem better positioned this week than Suli.

This is exact reason why I am thinking of cashing out a cow early as well. Lose potentially 10-20k, but it means you free up a trade next week to patch a hole while also bringing in whitehead/jbrom/bodene

Fifita Wallace Musgrove (Papali)
JDB Gallen Whitehead Kaufusi Yates (MCK)
Cleary Lamb (Jacks Elgey)
Smat Mitchell (Kelly Idris)
RTS Trbojevic Slater (Abbey Cotric)
4k in the bank
Could go Ponga over Slater and have 55k spare
Those are the trades I'm making... the Siro-Whitehead trade can be made next week about 20k cheaper, but I rate Whitehead higher than Siro and rather have the points this week to keep in touch with the top on the overal ladder.
I won't make the Hess>Bodene trade too early as I want to squeeze as much milk out of the cow. Same with the Gubb/Lamb>Jbrom trade I'm planning to make, Gubb reached his peak, but Lamb still has a few weeks in him before he's ready for milking.
Suli to Slater... I need a 3rd WFB for my 17, I believe Slater will be a consistent scorer and am happy to play him in my 17, Suli's scores on the other hand will go up and down, I'd like to keep Suli as a NPR but prefer not to play him in my 17, however I need the funds to bring Slater in....so Suli to Slater it is.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 21
Thoughts on Siro to Surgess trade this week? Will trade him in eventually and he is about as cheap as he is gonna get, got enough cash in the bank to do straight upgrade. Leaves me short of cash but it should only cosh me $150k to do the rest of my planned trades over the next 3 weeks. So need to cash out a couple of cheapies, just so I don't lose momentum on this, I am looking at cashing out 1 of Suli, Moga or Elgey this week.
KBrom to Whitehead for 35k
Kaufusi to Bodene for 70k
Wallace to JBrom for 30k
Planned trades of
Siro to Surgess
Elgey to Cornish
anythig I am overlooking in these trades?

I'm giving Sironen another week (influenced by the fact I traded him in after his 1st round 42) - Here's hoping he outscores Whitehead (or at least out price-rises him..)
