Nah but would be nice to grab some cash and bye coverage though. There are some popular bye friendly players I'll be running without and I hope it doesn't set me back too much

    Suli - Munster via CKN
    Lamb - Frawley

Yeah Suli has cash to make but when Munster bends the Titans over and makes them humble then he's going to go up another 30k or so and you'll be missing out. Get the Munster Mash in now

I'm going to do this trade too but I was going to do it next week. Won't the fact that Suli b/e is -1 negate whatever price rise Munster has?

Sharks most recent injury report said Round 14 as best case scenario, but he might be held back a week or 2 more.

It's funny hearing Hindmarsh going on about harsh penalties for drug users in the nrl when just about every show he's stoned with red glassy eyes. All 4 of them are full of shit.

Not saying your wrong, but to be entirely fair a bloke can spend every waking moment of his post footy career stoned and still condemn those who do it during their footy career. He might feel that those players are letting their club, fans and team mates down by taking the shit whilst playing and could just wait until retirement (or at least the off season) to do so. Not saying this is how he feels, but who knows, he might not be in the "drugs are bad mmkay" camp, more the "you're a professional athlete" camp.

Hopefully 30-35 a game and good bye coverage. Worth it?

30-35 a game is not good enough for your 17.
He'll probably play 2-3 games as a scoring player.

A 35 average will see him get to about $330k.
Unless you have tonnes of trades left, that's not enough.

He's also too far above base price to be a decent cash out option.

Really if you are trading him in, you need him to continue his try scoring form. Short term, that's entirely possible, and you can make some quick cash. If he can jag another 2 try effort like last start then his price might go high enough to make him an easy swap to a true gun.

I'm not betting on it though. I could be wrong, I often am.

I agree with you mate he's got every right to say what he thinks is right but I can guarantee you if he's smoking now he probably was smoking during his playing career as well. It's a much different environment today & much more is expected of players. In Hindmarsh's era a lot of the things players did they wouldn't get away with today. A couple of years ago I read a piece in the NZ Herald about Dane Sorenson who was one of the first Kiwis that played in the nrl. He & his brother Kurt played for the Sharks & he said in their day the club would book out entire floors of hotels & after the game they would party hard including booze, drugs & prostitutes. They got away with it because they had security so no one unauthorised got onto the floor they were on. Another story I was told was from some locals at my local league club Glenora. One night Brent Todd who had mates playing at Glenora brought down his Canberra team mates Daley, Meninga & Clyde. In between drinking the club dry they were going outside for sessions as well. That's why I laugh at these guys because when you hear them talk tough they are full of shit because they were just as bad but obviously they are older now & are in positions of influence so they have to have a responsible attitude & try to steer players in the right direction.

Well yeah I guess I'm also banking on him starting but he doesn't need to be in my 17 week in week out. I have Ese ese as my 4th reserve til I upgrade him and I'm hoping Elliot will put on enough value to upgrade to a gun

I know it's only a peoples poll they had on nrl 360 but Norman was the overwelming pick as JT's replacement. Then on Matty Johns' show they were all putting Norman forward as JT's replacement as well.

Morgan, Milford, Hunt (if fit), DCE, even Boyd to 6 with Slater 1 all ahead of Norman, surely. This isn't NSW we're talking about.

The thing I'm more worried about is Munster playing 14 as he's got the most utility value if they promote Morgan to starting half.

That would be a real cat among the pigeons. I don't really have a half backup plan!

It was a nice surprise to see Norman rated so highly on both these shows, but don't worry, no way Kev actually gives himself work and picks Norman. It'll be Morgan or DCE.

    I don't see Munster getting a spot.

That news is welcome as I've had to play Kelly/Talakai since he's been injured. Also I read on foxsports that apparently Nofo is in serious doubt with a knee injury & they reckon Suli will go back to the wing.

Yeah I saw that re Nofo. He looked pretty banged up with that knee in the last game so it's no surprise. Interesting to see what Cleary does when the whole backline is fit. Chee Kam back to the bench I'd say.
