    McCullugh - JFriend?

with Hunt back potential for Niko to be coming off the bench for McCullough in the future rounds

worse case i gain 2 decent bye round scores

Brown being named to start means one of two things:
    a) He's good to go, or
    b) Scans are still coming back on his potential injury

Brad Arthur has never really been one for mind games, so him being named to start is really positive for owners. If he plays I still think he's a must have for overall points.

Yep. I think I'll trade him out this week. Maybe... If I knew he'd get the minutes he was I'd hold, but there's not much point holding for 15 points and a loss of $30k+.

    My thoughts exactly.

I'm doing this. Macca won't play a singe major bye round, Hunt's return probably means the end of his days as #1 point scorer, and he's bleeding cash. Friend could go big with Pearce out. Even if he doesn't, he'll score pretty well and can be upgraded to Smith after r18.

Interesting to see 2 ex Warriors in Laumape & Sam Lousi playing for the Hurricanes. Laumape has been carving up as well at 2nd 5/8th. I think before he went to league Laumape played rugby as his first sport & I think he played with Julian Savea when he was younger.

Sorry,I didn't mean to offend. I was just saying that given Aubussons history of being shunted to CTR I'm not surprised that he has been moved there again

I guess all us owners figured this would be the year Maubbs stayed in the Second Row. I'll ride it out personally. In saying that, the Second Row you were ending up with by trading him was pretty impressive. I just want to run him as a set and forget (hopefully he grabs a meatie this weekend Very Happy )

What does everyone think about Ofagenhaue.

Scored well in a non-origin depleted team last week.
Does he maintain scoring from the bench in non-origin weeks.

I reckon Fai may be good for a cash out this week, but will only play 1 game

My only worry is I'm also going Smith - Kaysa so I'm losing the 2 top scoring hookers

Storm playing 48 hours after origin 1 means I'm slightly less worried about losing Smiths R13 score

Since they can't bring anyone else in out of the squad they've named they would've already known the scan results & they wouldn't of named him if he was no chance of playing.

I looked at it too but Bennett gave Gillett the last 20 mins off and McGuire played hooker for the last part of the game instead of lock so there were plenty more minutes for Offa

To be fair to the senile old geezer, Wayne is really only responsible for 1 of those. Macca not being named is no real surprise after that horrible incident, and Milf is outside of his control.

Niko, well yeah that's a kick in the nuts but from a Broncos perspective I can see why they are going that way. I think Niko will still get good minutes (Waddell is mud, but at least he is a genuine hooker and he can take the early sting out) and if it is in the middle he might still rack up a half decent score. Here's hoping anyway and his BE is low enough he will still make a bit more cash. I never thought he would get to over $350k so he has done his job for my shit team.

You misunderstand me sir. I mean even with Macca and Milf out (yes not his fault) he still benches Kodi. So I maintain my fuck you Wayne comment.

Hmmm, that's tricky. Probably depends on of you think McCullough will keep scoring as a top two hooker. I'd almost think Friend will make similar points for the rest of the year, barring injuries.

I really want to keep both Smith & Fifita. If I say sell Fifita I don't want to waste a trade bringing him back in but if I keep Fifita & bring in C. Walker that means both will miss round 13 & I'll struggle to knock out a 17. Since I'm keeping Slater as well & would prefer to keep Fifita I might pass on Cody. What do you think. Cheers.

The most important decision in tough bye rounds is captain choice

    Who we all going?

Surgess/Gallen will be the obvious ones

    I'm going Crichton or Graham

The next fun thing around origin will be TLT next Tuesday

Teams are allowed to name a squad of 17, plus an extra 4 players. Anyone outside that squad technically can't play on the weekend.

Brisbane have 6 players in origin (plus McCullough who will be under an injury cloud)

What if Brisbane want to name all 6 of their origin players? They have to decide on who they think will/won't be backing up before the game they are backing up from is played.

I foresee TLT next week being a clusterfuck, and Brisbane especially could end up seeking dispensation to play players outside their 21 (depending on how many players they name to back up, and if their are injuries in origin)

I would imagine they'll name all Origin players and be allowed to replace any injured, or even "injured", in Origin.

As a broncos fan I could understand Niko to the bench IF Milford and Macca were also playing but hes not even named in the 17 which I know will more than likely change come game day but it just doesn't make any sense
