He was the best player in the first 10 minutes, and then became anonymous.

NSW have to go with the same team. Their team is good enough to win. They should have won tonight from 16-6, but sometimes you have to put it behind you and just back yourself to do better.
Absolutely this. If Daley doesn't stick with this side for game 3 then we are doomed next year to another series defeat with more chopping and changing.
I keep Pearce until another 7 shows a great ability and demands a shot.
Maloney is the one in danger. Yes, great run to set up second try, but he should have passed inside to a wide open Hayne to score under posts, he then misses an attempt Thurston slots I never Origin every day yet Maloney has a higher conversion percentage. Some stupid penalties gifted Qld their first try and he missed some crucial, tackles that put Qld on the front foot later in the game. Moylan could come in for him next year.

Moylan and Maloney would 100% be my halves pairing. Should have been for this series too.
Maloney always walks a fine line but generally ends up winning the game for you, or at least breaking even by setting up or scoring a try.
Pearce.. fuck me dead.
Make him the 14 or the hooker or fuck him off. He is not mentally good enough in these high pressure situations. He was playing like the team was down for the last 20 mins!!

Yep, I would have started the series with Moylan and Maloney. Pearce didn't cost us that game, sure you can argue he should have "closed it out" but the big moments that were missed were not of his doing. There were not clear errros from Pearce were an obvious different decision would have netted a different result.

He was pretty good, though Klemmer was far better and probably the best forward on the park, along with McGuire. All of will say is that even though stats don't show everything, if Thaiday had 67m and 26 tackles as a starter there'd be plenty of people here making fun of him.
Deadset my respect for Gagai gets bigger every Origin. He's played 6 now and has been in QLD's best 2 or 3 every time.

Jackson getting MOTM, Deadset that will do me. He was solid, didn't really do anything wrong defensively, but seriously, the best performance on the ground???

his disgusting kicking game
his poor last tackle options/mid field bombs
his pass to hayne that haybe spilled
His general rushing, he looked rushed the whole game. GET FUCKING DEEPER ON THE LAST PLAY U FUCKWIT
pretty obvious errors that cost NSW the game.

Can't argue with that, another winger gifted being outside the Fab Four. Kissed on the dick that fella.

I kinda felt like the filthy cockroaches were the best team for all but 10 minutes Dip, but I am always hesitant to question you as I've normally looked like a goose afterwards over the years.

He's been awesome not because of the tries he scores but because he's prepared to run through a brick wall on kick returns or first hit up.
He is my new winter man crush. Andy Bichel is still my summer man crush.

That moment, when you realise being the nsw captain isn't all champagne and roses......
I dead set thought he was crying in the sheds.
Couple of fun points...
1. I said to my young bloke, when Hayne back flicked it into touch: " remember that bullshit, it might cost them the game.
2. AJ having a cry about not targeting jt with one shoulder. Fatty asked him" I assume that's what you would have done? ".
Silence.

Nah.
Look, his kicking game gave us enough opportunities and field position to win the game. And forced a drop out or two. AND he is lumped with the responsibility of pretty much doing all the kicking, unlike Cronk, Thurston and Smith, who share it.
Hayne should have caught that pass, it wasn't his best pass, but I would have caught it, the pass didn't cost us, the drop didn't help us.
He didn't cost us. He didn't lead us to victory, but he wasn't the reason for the loss.

Haha, yeah, Johns going off but I thought Daley summed it up well as to why they didn't target him as he would have just shifted further out to the wing in defence and then they wouldn't have the chance to really run at him at all.

This is silly and shows a complete lack of understanding of what a sporting choke is. Which is to lose from a seemingly unloseable position, which NSW were never in.
Anyway, moving on.
