the difference is not a single person besides fittler wants keary in the side - no one at all. fuck him off.
Prior... hes solid but SOO.. far out.
James is the clear replacement and im looking forward to seeing him play. he will go well.
So happy we didnt go back to woods.

Keary can fuck right off back to Ipswich. Love the James pick, he's the type of bloke who'll love origin.

Who are the 3 to miss out?

Keary obviously there as a token gesture - still baffled that the bloke was born in QLD, wanted to play for QLD but is being forced to play for NSW.
He's the first squad member.

Prior also a token gesture - although I personally think he's got a bit of mongrel in him and would go well.....but yeah I suspect Brandy is the voice of reason for Freddy and I can't see him going random.

Bit harder to select the final spot out of James and Tariq.
Tariq 18th man last game and in form but may luck out due to NSW wanting a big body.

As a QLDer both Tariq and James worry me.

James will get picked because he is more of a front rower than Sims.
For mine it would be a direct replacement - Start James.

It will be Prior, which I don't get. I think he will go alright, but given James was so close and basically on the plane in game 1, I'm amazed they haven't just gone for a straight swap.

from all the talk it sounds like it will be prior... which I too think is fucking crazy

prior wasn't on my radar but he won't let anyone down, James is a better NRL player but i reckon prior slots in just as well as james would, if not better given he has played more big games. if thats the one selection we make this series that people question then we are doing alright.

As No Worries said, I'll wait and see who is actually selected before assuming it is Prior (not that it's a poor selection if he does).

Fittler talking someone up doesn't automatically equate to selection, he did the same with Keary prior to Game 1 (and again this week).

After selecting a team with fairly unhateable players, NSW decide to revert back to old ways and select a dirty player who likes to elbow players in the jaw. Munster or Slater better watch out when they take it to the line.

if we're talking about old incidents, worth remembering slater copped 7 weeks for kicking skando in the head (far from his only indiscretion ). perhaps prior has more reason to watch out

I don't think Dip was necessarily talking about old incidents, more intentional incidents....like Prior's and unlike Slater's.

James is a bit hard done by, wouldnt have let anyone down. Poor fella.

It's got a QLD feel about it the Prior pick. Unheralded, no name, no frills. Will just do his part and that's it. Which from a front rower could you really ask for anymore? Don't give away dumb penalties. Don't drop the ball. Run it hard and run it straight. Job done.

Prior will do a job. Am I surprised, yes, but I think he will go just fine.

yep I too think he will be fine. He's not who I would have gone with, but oh well. Hopefully he doesnt look out of place there.
