Teddy easily, Rapana will be a lot cheaper at some stage, winger and no Hodgson.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
Not sure what the love for Adam Elliot at lock is for. Yes I know he will have to do more work on defense so should get more tackles, but he ain't going to be playing more than say 50-55 minutes at lock especially if Tolman is on the bench.
He averaged nearly 32 points in 55 minutes last year, but I feel even though he only scored 3 tries he might score 0 at lock and it will be harder to break tackles than hitting holes out wide. Not sure what all that equates to but might only average around 35 for the year would be my guess. Could be way off.
RFM on the other hand if he got 50-60 minutes at 2RF, now he would be the one to get. In his two starts at 2RF last year, he averaged 50 in 61 minutes. In games where he played 40 minutes or more in the last two years he averaged 37 in 53 minutes. Priced at 27. Just needs the start and could be set for a 45 average.

Yeah sucks to be that guy being paid a shed tonne to play in the NRL, while mocks are aimed at him behind keyboards... Hmmmmm

Well if Elliot gets the lock position I assume his workload will pick up compared to hanging out on the edge.
But I agree RFM at starting 2nd row is a much juicier proposition.

Doughnut dismiss the serious business of doughnuts. You must have missed the doughnut giveaway last year.Concussed wrote:

Just looking out for everyone eh, as someone here around this time last year was threatened with banishment for commenting on the appearance of Ms Yvonne Sampson...

Well lets hope he sure enjoyed those free donuts then eh. After his poor fantasy scores he certainly needed a pick me up.

Happy new year and new Pre-season ya'll......
Hey after reading all the halves chat you've thrown up, I notice no mention of Kodi Nikorima.
Do we not see value here? I didn't run him last year as it was clear he'd end up back on the bench, but surely his average is slightly understated?
What was he posting in games where he played 80 at 7?

Didn't he score a whole heap of try's last year? Would need to score even more to be worth it.

I mentioned KNIK in the last thread, and im seriously thinkkng about taking a punt. I think he'll do alot of the long kicking this year. Also has had a full pre season to train at half and they have kevy guiding them again. Tbh its a big risk, his defense is a concern.
Broncos do have a relatively easy start to the year.

'sgoing on lads?
A hive of activity already I see.. A wretched one, of scum and villainy.
With that out of the way, I have nfi what I'm doing this year.
My basic theory so far is to fill the AE's with 212k players, leaving 8.55m or an average of 503k per player for the 17.
So for CTR, while guys like Hayne (448k) and Bird (480k) looked alright at first, I think I'm gonna have to cheap out on some guys like Naiqama (376k), HHunt (310k), J O'Neill (362k) etc. Hopefully a basement cheapie pops up once I figure out who's moved where or is injured.
WFB another area of sacrifice. Saw some potential with Inglis and Moylan, but both around 500k, so I'm keen to free up more than that. Coote (346k) and SKD (441k) maybe.. Not sure I want to gamble on Ponga at 552k or Lolohea at 612k.
Kinda got burned by sacrificing halves last year, so I'm torn there. J Reynolds and Kodi might be too midranger ish.. Looked at Moylan and Lolohea there too. Croft and Austin a couple of others catching my eye, but Croft's price seems jank as fuck.
Besides my midranger halves burning me last year, it was overpaying for a stacked forward pack and missing a couple of solid cheapies like Wallace, Crichton, Hess and CHN. Seems I might be doing the same this year, so hopefully a few more names pop up besides Arrow and Lodge that I've latched onto so far. Guys like Cam, Manners, JDB, NBrown holding place for now.

I think if we have at most 1 or 2 blow ups on the forum a year then we have got the balance and feel of the place right; especially considering the site is barely moderated because of the quality of the posters.

Fuck yeah. About damn time. Still wary of what other backdoors will pop up with this new system, but so far I like what I see (other than the price adjustments).

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
Knik played 11 80 minutes halfback games (counting finals) last year for an average of 45.
Scored 6 tries in those 11 games
Priced at 37. He is undervalued because of a few shitty low minute interchange games.
How much he is undervalued depends a lot on that try scoring rate and whether he can maintain it.
Personally, for just $13k more I see Croft as a much safer bet.
