It will take into account the players from 1-17 that didn't start, the ordering of the bench players and their positions. There are too many variables to know exactly what would happen in your example, but for your example both players are likely to be pulled in as auto-emergency scores in your final 17, as the calculation is made after the last game. I think Sims should pick up the 2nd row spot too.  Leilua wasn't that great on the weekend and lacks the experience.
