Re my last post and brown getting the mins.. this is essentially what i expect.
Mannah 35
Alvaro 45
Taka 65
Mau 70
Brown 70
Evans 30
Matagi 20
Moeroa 35
Edwards 50
You could find another 10 among those bench forwards to save using subs on brown
Mannah 35
Alvaro 45
Taka 65
Mau 70
Brown 70
Evans 30
Matagi 20
Moeroa 35

My thoughts as well but seems legit. Could understand Morgan being moved to Fullback to cover injury for a bit, but not Centre.

Theoretically it looks fine. But I don't see Mannah getting less than 40 or Mau not playing the whole 80.
With Nathan Brown averaging 70 mins since he started in the starting Lock position, I think 65-70 minutes is fair enough to expect him to average. The question is whether he can maintain his career best form that he showed last year.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 7
Question:
What are your expectations of Whitehead at Lock? I've actually taken him out of my team because he's priced at 41, and I think he could very well average between the 41 from last season and the 51 he's averaged in 2016 as he'd be adjusting to a new role.
I'd prefer to spend my money on Brown (for the above reasons) and Merrin (proven fantasy performer that's fitter, with a full off season and has space to grow in terms of MPG).

Morgan would be a must-have for the end of season if he gets centre DPP and moves back to half.

Can someone convince me to put Merrin and RFM in my side. Second row is Murray/Surgess/Merrin with RFM on my bench.

It does strike me as funny that Arthur wants a 4 man forward rotation and no utility when he can get an extra 10 minutes out of Matagi and Evans and Mannah. I know he's got Taka and Hayne to shift around for injury, but deadset Will Smith is under rated in my book.

Am i stupid or is the only way to look at player prices in the app, you need to delete someone from your team?
Also.. you cannot move a player from bench to an empty starting spot? Fuck me

Not sure about the price thing but why they got rid of the drag and drop is beyond me.

Mannah averaged 35 minutes in 23 games last year so seems right to me. Mau would play 80 most weeks. Averaged 73 last year but I think a couple of injury games.

BA wants a 4 man forward bench cause he knows he'll lose Mannah at the 10 minute mark each week from a head knock.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 7
Ok, be it on your head, might want to ask around a bit first though. I seem to recall there was a guy once who selected Rochow over Whitehead because this was his year and he was going big. We don't talk about that guy anymore, don't know what happened to him.SI wrote:
If Rochow starts and Whitehead doesn't get the Lock possy, then I'd say yes I'd take the chance mate.
Rochow was tremendous in the trials. He has proven he can be a gun. He is DPP FRF/SRF and is $300k cheaper. I'd take a 40 average out of him and run with the cash grab. I'd probably actually settle for a 35 average knowing I have 300k to spend elsewhere.
I haven't looked at B/E's and what cash rises we can expect this year though.
If Whitehead is named at Lock I might even pick both . The thing that will make me nervous though is if ET isn't ready round 1 and then when he comes back Cleary shifts everyone around.

Agree on Smith. I loved him in I am legend. Independence Day 2 was a real letdown though.SI wrote:

the App is terrible for player research
I have no idea why changing the bench system required removing tonnes of existing functionality. The usability of their interface was a big advantage they had over supercoach and now they've gone and nerfed themselves for some reason. Can't even provide a green playing field for my players to stand on (and half of my players are a generic black outline with no actual photo)

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 7
Its really all dependent on the rest of the makeup of that raiders team IMO. Whitehead can get through a mountain of work and is proven to be a very effective tackler. If Ricky intends to run Austin, Sezer and Williams in the one team with one of those blokes at hooker, it might be on Whitehead to take up the extra defensive work in the middle in lieu of an experienced hooker. He could also potentially work really well with Williams who IIRC put Papa through a number of good holes. Then again Ricky could end up running with both the backup hookers and only 2 of those 3 halves in which case he might not even get 80min at lock and his scores remain around his current price. To top it all off its difficult to know week to week whether something will change so it is quite a gamble.Dttragic2016 wrote:Question:
