I'm thinking Arrow (as long as he's named for Rd1) could be a better buy actually. Can see him averaging around 35-40 based on 40-45 minutes with potential upside as the season goes on.

RFM early season may have a better chance at 60-80 minutes if he gets the starting 2rf gig, but he'd need to be similar to a Felise Kaufusi (come out of nowhere to play big minutes with good stats) rather than Arrow whose work ethic/numbers are proven.

RFM imo is a must have if named starting second row. Arrow, if named to start at lock will be a definite buy for me. Starting Second row, then maybe a little less so but would still be keen. And if he doesn't make rnd1 due to ribs or is named on the bench I might wait it out due to potential easing into it with lesser minutes.

Hard to say where Arrow fits with Cartright there and how are his ribs. I think RFM is a safer bet from what we know at the moment. I'm still looking to have Arrow as I think he can make solid coin, even if off the bench (though thats a worry).

I think Arrow is a little bit like Crichton last year. When Crichton was 230k I wanted to get him in just to wait for him to finally get the starting spot.. I held off due to other trades needing more attention and in the end crichton was about 350-400K by the time i finally got him

So LS said GI, Kikau & Nicholls plus others will get dpp status straight away before round 1 so I would imagine Taukeiaho will also become a frf/2fr. I'm warming to him in my front row especially with the goal kicking.

True but every year there are cash cow flops, whereas I feel when Doueihi and Milne get gametime they will make a lot. Whilst I'm relying on one or two rookie priced fullbacks at the start of the year I'd rather have the chance to have a free look at their score before taking the points in my 17. Effectively, I will be able to choose to have only 1 score out of Katoa, Thompson and Croker if I wish, or 2 if Leilua/kikau flops.

I really rate Douiehi too and would love to punt on him.  The only thing that is a concern is that he is bottom dollar, so if you only have 10K in the kitty, it might be possible to upgrade if you need to jump on a must have rookie. Katoa the same but he is obviously more safe.

Looks like AJ will be right to go Round 1 with a needle, - here he is Re GI

“It was awesome to have him on the field for 20 minutes, and I can’t wait to see him out there for 80 minutes,’’ Johnston said.

“Whoever his opposition centre at training, you feel sorry for them because he’s throwing them around and burning them.’’

Not exactly news but Gold Coast have now confirmed the signing of Peachey for 2019 onwards.

I don't understand this talk of Douiehi as an option. Yes, he looked a good player in WC. But, is he worth considering? he doesn't seem to be threatening anyones position at the Rabbits? The only talk of his inclusion seems to be around the inevitable injury to ARey. However, unless Douiehi is named on the bench, and actually gets some game time as a form of utility? Wouldn't you just wait until when ever that injury happens, and asses including him them?

Awesome starting 13. It is a good team but the following opinions are just my own:
AFB - could be back to bench when Lussick returns but he is a beast & can understand why he's in your team.
Cartwright - I prefer him in reserves but I see a few teams have him starting.
Aubusson - 573k when he'll score 35-45 points. Would rather move Mitchell to ctr & get Dufty.
Not sure of Katoa in your reserves. Nicholls good if he starts.

Guys need some help making a decision between Surgess and Merrin. Can Surgess pull some big numbers with a change back to prop, more ball, 55-60 mins or will Merrin, who is about 100K cheaper, be able to pull off some big scores now he is "Fit" and playing a bigger role at Panthers.
PS. saw a predicted lineup somewhere last night that has Merrin playing the 8 rather than 13

Dont think you can go too wrong with either , I had both at one stage and still may head that way but opted for JTurbo at the moment over Merrin, but every chance of reverting back.

I think Gurgess is way under valued and expect to see a decent return to form.

I have Murray/Merrin/Jurbo but am thinking of downgrading somewhere else to get Surgess over Merrin for his DPP >.< Second Row's are just so hard to pick this year.

Surgess is just 2fr & has no dpp. If he is named at prop in round 1 then he might get dpp.

I doubt very much that Sam would be named in the front row for Round 1.
