Can Surgess pull some big numbers with a change back to prop, more ball, 55-60 mins or will Merrin, who is about 100K cheaper, be able to pull off some big scores now he is "Fit" and playing a bigger role at Panthers.
PS. saw a predicted lineup somewhere last night that has Merrin playing the 8 rather than 13

You'd think the Panthers would be RCG Wallace Tamou Yeo CHN/Kikau Merrin, CHN/Kikau JFH and then 2 out of Leota Mckendry Browne

    Can't see Merrin at Prop.

RFM imo is a must have if named starting second row. Arrow, if named to start at lock will be a definite buy for me. Starting Second row, then maybe a little less so but would still be keen. And if he doesn't make rnd1 due to ribs or is named on the bench I might wait it out due to potential easing into it with lesser minutes.

Hard to say where Arrow fits with Cartright there and how are his ribs. I think RFM is a safer bet from what we know at the moment. I'm still looking to have Arrow as I think he can make solid coin, even if off the bench (though thats a worry).

I think Arrow is a little bit like Crichton last year. When Crichton was 230k I wanted to get him in just to wait for him to finally get the starting spot.. I held off due to other trades needing more attention and in the end crichton was about 350-400K by the time i finally got him

Absolutely love the point about Arrow being like Crichton last year (massive potential to average 45+ points) after a few rounds. The reason I raised the point in the first place was thinking that Arrow with 40-50 minutes could match RFM getting 60-80 with the starting 2nd row gig.
All the talk is Carty for lock, Arrow bench to start the season. I think this is fine as the Titans are struggling for FRF depth so Arrow may just be a hard working forward which suits his style of play (and what we want to see in fantasy).

The Daily Telegraph predicted team lists were interesting. Both Manly & Eels with 4 forward benches which could see reduced minutes for Jurbo & Brown. Penrith had a hooker, a prop & 2 second rowers which should see Merrin getting 60-70 minutes. Roosters I think had a hooker, 2 props & Matterson which could be good for Liu. I think it's also good for Taukeiaho as I expect him to play lock as well giving Liu a rest.

How are people going to decide if there is a 4 forward bench or not from a 21 man squad.
Its unlimited trades right up to each games lockout, so in some cases you'll get to adjust depending on what the final team is, but in a lot of cases you'll just have to guess.

And, as discussed yesterday, Brown's and Jtrbo's minutes are not likely to be in danger no matter what bench is named. Coaches like winning NRL games, and they aren't going to do that subbing off their best forwards just to give a nuffie a run. JTrbo will play 80 minutes a lot, but not every week. Brown won't play 80 much, but will play big minutes.

Aubusson - 573k when he'll score 35-45 points. Would rather move Mitchell to ctr & get Dufty.

I would much rather Aubusson, who will give you reliable centre points. If I wanted an up and down centre with the potential to go big I think there are cheaper options than Mitchell.

As starting 2nd rower, Aubusson had 1 score below 30 last year. Mitchell had 5.
Assuming Matterson makes the bench, the odds of mid game moves to centre are low.

Sure Mitchell can put up a big 60+ score that Aubbs probably won't, but for roughly the same price, I much prefer the safety of Maubbs Beating Heart

Jurbo will play 80 most weeks along with Thompson. Sironen may get 65-70 with Winterstein getting the scraps. The other middle forwards will be the ones to miss out.

The general quality and depth of Eels players mean I think that Nathan Brown is maybe only slightly underpriced (not the 6 points most are hoping for) regardless of minutes.

Bench for Penrith will be Katoa Kikau JFH and McKendry. JFH is in the prop rotation as well as maybe covering the minutes Merrin doesn't get at lock. This all changes again with Peachy back to the bench, could replace anyone on the bench.

Man, I threw together a decent enough team a few weeks ago, and now a bunch of crap has changed.

Aside from trying to fit this shit in a 21-man squad, I've got mates messaging me about how they can't even login to this dumb shit of a new fantasy site. Then our league admin can't set it up to have us all play twice in a 10 man comp, because fantasy keeps overriding it for some fucking reason.

Can't even drag and drop my fucking players around. Broken ass fucking site. Wondering why I even fucking bother.

Anyone know how I can get around the blockage of articles on the Daily Telegraph website? Being in Adelaide I've tried copying the URL, putting it into google and then going to the site but that doesn't work anymore.

I'd prefer to go the other way and go with Mitchell. Forwards are for safety points, id rather my back 5 have the potential to go big!

Josh Massoud tweet - some mail on the future of fullback Coote. Appears no chance of being fit for round 1 due to hamstring issue. Hampton to be his replacement. Also hearing he's unlikely to be re-signed making him the highest profile fullback on the market.

Agreed. Jturbo won't get reduced mins because of a 4 man forward bench. He is to much of a key player

Would anyone like to join a competitive Draft league. Code is S67PKELK and requires 4 more people.

It is an 8 team league with 17 players per team and no captains. It starts round 2 and everyone plays each other twice

It takes place on 05/03/18 @ 1:00PM Sydney time

      Current date/time is Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:48 am
