You can also add Hipgrave being suspended in Rd1; Fensom and Tyrone Phillips being injured; Nathaniel Roache being seriously injured; and Hingano's surprise return to the Warriors.

It makes me think of that Simpsons episode where Mr Burns has a thousand monkeys working on a thousand typewriters to produce the greatest novel of all time. They just chose the least gibberish team list and published that.   Rolling Eyes

Brennan has said that ideally James will play solely on the edge but will depend on who's back.

“It will depend on personnel. I’ll have [Jai] Arrow back in round one and [Morgan] Boyle is probably a big chance of being back there in round one as well.

“If that happens then I have the flexibility of leaving Ryan James on the edge, but with Jarrod Wallace being suspended for two games and Keegan Hipgrave missing round one [with suspension] probably hurts us a little. In a perfect world, if everyone is fit and healthy, then Ryan James on an edge is very exciting.

“I’ve also got the flexibility of Bryce Cartwright being able to slot onto an edge."

Round 1 (and maybe even 2) may be a bit of a false positive for those who want to start Arrow (due to Wallace suspension, Boyle injury).

    I still want Arrow.

Genuine chance for sure mate. Robinson loves Aubusson's utility value from the bench and Matterson's ability to do the tough stuff through the middle

Daily Telegraph predicts Brandon Smith to be on the bench for the Storm. Is this a concern for Croft (assuming there's low chance C Smith gets a spell)?

Might be too light in the 2RFs, still working on what best tactics will be for the new 21 man squad setup. I'm thinking you want almost all of your 21 playing - can't afford to carry nuffies from the start this year.

Strong starting 13 but id be worried about the rest of your squad making enough money. TLT will give you a better idea which cheapies to go for.

Also thoughts on no Teddy. Think id be too scared not to start with him!

Hey guys I spend most time on here lurking, love all the info that is shared so thanks for that. This is the team I got at the moment, theres a few guys who I'm pretty iffy on.

    Smith(c)
    Lodge Latu
    Merrin Brown(vc) Whitehead
    Croft Cartwright
    Taka Opacic
    Ponga Teddy Katoa

    RFM
    Muarry
    Cook
    AFB

    C Thompson
    L Leilua
    Kikau
    L Croker

With 21k left over. Really light on centres, was thinking of downgrading Brown and beefing them up but for now thats what I got.

Which 2 would you have Ponga, Moses or Croft?

If ones Ponga you would have a starting 1/2 of Crocker or Carty

Gut feel says Moses will actually be a decent buy this year however the stats don't lie. If you have already selected Ponga then the other options has to be Croft, unless you want a nice POD then go my man Moses.

Haven't seen too many with Turbo at the back. Very nice. Could hit the ground running this year and be a nice little POD.

I guess I always saw Griffin as more of a back rower who could play hooker rather than an out and out 9 which B Smith seems to be .

Also - cronk wasn't likely to get subbed to move Smith to half back if Bellamy felt they were lacking direction, something I can see happening here if there's a utility on the bench

Have got a similar dilemma. Am trying to decide who has the better value between Moses, Niko, and Watson. Can anyone give me. To help decide, what is their biggest disadvantage? Maybe that might shine some light.

I've had Niko for a month. Mulvy posted stats last week and from memory when playing 80 he averaged 10 above his season of 37.3 at 47. Don't quote me but was that right @mulvy ? Niko's role is defined now so should be playing 80 week in week out so not cherry picking stats in any stretch of the imagination.

The only foreseeable issue is that Niko scored a fair few tries in that stretch of 80 min games. HOWEVER, I do think he will continue to pick up a handful of tries. Just that sort of player

Youre probably not picking niko if youre tipping the Bronx to go poorly this year. Its a similar reason for picking Croft.

Sorry about the late past on this but why are NRL.com getting into speculation??
They are the official voice of the NRL and thus I'd have thought they'd report facts??
"3 Tyrell Fuimaono and16 Tyrell Fuimaono." So the rabbits get around the salary cap by cloning players??

Jeez I hope Takairangi starts as 2RF to stuff their predictions (and thus not make me change my team for the 262nd time)

Yep, that's true. I feel the Storm have further to fall comparatively to the Broncos personally, and Croft had an average of 1 try per game in his 4 scores for his average last year. Also with Munster at 6 week in week out now I can see Croft settling in to a genuine halfback role-lots of try assists but not so many tries.
