Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
I've had three non-base price players in all the 100 versions of my team over last month, JBrom, Tohu and Ted. I've just dumped JBrom for Arrow on the strength of one old photograph. The madness of pre-teamlist Monday.

I remember seeing something about NAS minutes picked up over the last few seasons from something like 23,35,42 or something like that. Anyone think his minutes can move into the 50 mark and with his ppm possible manage something like 45 a game

Agree on the Milne part and Isaacko/Kennar will be a bit of a toss of the coin. If Boyd’s hammy blow when Bird is back, then Isaacko slots in somewhere for sure. I’m not sure about the Kennar situation?

Jennings/campbell graham/burns all on kenmars heels. I dont see kennar as that far in front of them so a couple bad games and he could be gone
Its all a bit of a guessing game

I don't see the point in changing too much until team lists come out.
I just add players to my watchlist.
I'll clear my team tomorrow night and add them in again.

So with V.Kikau, there just CHN on the bench threatening to take his starting spot right? I'm not missing anyone else coming back?

Although not sure why I'm laughing, it's how I pick my entire squad.

I wonder when new DPPs as per TLT tomorrow will actually get updated in the system?

Same, but Milne won't be starting Centre unfortunately. He may sneak a bench spot as a backrower but that is it. I applaud Cleary's faith-in-last-year's-backs paradigm, but wish he'd apply it to last year's forwards as well.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Matterson also said he has enjoyed the chance to link up with Cronk as part of a new-look Roosters right edge.
"Because I've been training in the back row I've had a lot to do with Cooper, Joey Manu and Fergo (Blake Ferguson). As a group we've been having a right edge mentality," he said.
"[Cronk] has brought clarity to the team, especially to the right edge. We've got a defensive structure that's kind of new but as a team at training it's worked. It's still early days but the likes of Joey Manu, his defence has improved dramatically, Fergo as well. Cooper has made a big impact on my defensive movements.
Im cold on aubbs reading this, even if named to start tomorrow. Sounds like matto has the job with that reference to the four of them together

Sporting News reporting Todd Carney in serious talks with the cowboys. Will have to apply through the NRL before anything is set in stone but they are looking at using him as a bench utility.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Mattersons scores as a starting second rower last year quite impressive.. and available at half.. hmmm. Does aubbs play the utility role allowing an extra bench forward eg butcher..
If matterson starts that could be cronks influence. He usually likes that bigger body edge forward for the ahort ball option

Matterson is a deadest gun in the making, looking forward to watching him this year. Early reports were that he cops the utility role over Maubbs, but same last year. TLT will be the tell again.

Just had a look, Matterson is 0.0% ownership. That is a POD if I ever seen one

Those comments were three days ago on an nrl.com article. It also states hes really pushing for a permanent starting role but will do what he has to do for the team if necessary.. so who knows.
