Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Thanks to all the legends in L1 for joining NRL Fantasy Fanatics L1 and NRL Fantasy Fanatics Overall in a timely manner. Have been rather busy with work of late and didn't have the chance to confirm all entrants till this morning. Fantastic to see all 16 members of L1 have joined both leagues. Thank you!

I think the chat option is right next to your season history, and near the full stats section

Is Milne worth carrying on the bench if he isn't named R1? Big wraps on him

I don't think so, this season the bench is a lot smaller so you want to get the best value out of each player in your team as possible. Ideally having your whole team in the starting 17 of their respective clubsEnchanted Glossy Flamingo wrote:Is Milne worth carrying on the bench if he isn't named R1? Big wraps on him

Also, Milne is not too expensive and easy to trade in once he gets a starting role

Surely they're taking the piss now.. How the fuck can the Raiders be forced to squeeze out Baptise because salary cap pressure then the Roosters can go and sign him up with other signings like Teddy and Cronk?

Who should I carry on the bench? Struggling between picking Taka/Latu/Rochow who has the better potential?

Who has big wraps on Milne? Besides fantasy coaches who want a cheap starter.
He played 2nd row in trials, and if that is his 2018 position, then stay away

This article only confirms my Hayne pick at CTR.
I know there are plenty on this forum that have their doubts, but I think he'll do alright.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
To be fair to Kata he had a great year in 2016 and then last year his brother passed away so his head might not have been in the right place.
Not saying he's definitely going to be back to his best but surely there's hope. He's damaging when he's on form.
Maumalo, again... he's capable of being first grade material but right now there should be others (CNK, Fus, Beale) ahead of him for the two wing spots.

Rory O'Brien?
I think he was the only one of those three I didn't get caught out by.
I'm guessing it's going to be Hiku, Croker or Kikau. :/

Understand it's a different comp, but he was one of the standouts in the World Cup.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Do players have any responsibilities when it comes to rorting a salary cap?
As in, when the roosters get done, are there any fall back for players other than either a club change or cut back on the brown paper bags?
Would all the media around roosters appearing to cheat the cap, be a disincentive to players to join?
Think baptise is a decent player, played his role for raiders well, but I don’t want him at roosters

Cook
Lui Latu
Whitehead SST Rochow
JT Milford
Kata Manu
Teddy Ponga Mitchell
Mose Watson Katoa Uele
Now to see who’s free on the waiver
That's good for a 16 team comp. In my 12 team comp I got the following:
Cook
Paulo Liu
Crichton Merrin Whitehead
DCE Townsend
Chambers Kata
Dufty Holmes Tupou
Cameron King / Afoa / Sezer / Mann
I hand picked all of mine, except my first pick (Crichton which was an Auto), as I was held up by 10 minutes and wasn't aware the draft started automatically. Was tossing up between Crichton and McInnes anyway, and really wanted Cook as well. Now just have to hope Crichton gets big minutes like last year (which he surely should, as last year he was the best back rower in the comp imo).

Hey lads, what do you think of my latest draft.
Smith
Lodge, J.Brom
Merrin, Harris, Whitehead
Cartwright, Croft
Taka, Kennar
Ted, Ponga, Dufty
Cook, Kikau, Arrow, RFM
Garvey, Milne, Katoa, L.Croker
Cheapies are dependant on selection.
Thoughts? Thanks!
