These days they cant really claim ignorance. If a team is cheating then the money has to come under the table. Fairly obvious if you're a player. Though I'm sure the roosters have been able to legitimise alot more TPAs this year via various loopholes.

Sidenote, this place went wild last night! aha

The Roosters are (most likely) cheating the cap legally through TPA abuse. Going to be hard to bust them

But as for player responsibility, some Melbourne players signed 2 contracts and none of them got individual punishment

After all the talk re Brown and my confidence in his scoring reliability, I don't actually have him in my team. Not sure what to do, pretty happy with who I have in 2rf, and squeezing him in will require a major reshuffle (or just going Merrin to Brown) - but I actually believe Merrin represents better value than Brown.

If players did have to take responsibility Cam. Smith, Slater and Inglis were caught in the Storm salary cap
saga and it was hushed up. They were as guilty as sin, Inglis had a boat in his backyard!!! There was talk
of tax avoidance penalties but this mysteriously went away. Looks like it depends on which player and club are involved.
I am a Roosters supporter but I think Politis gets away with murder and has done so for decades.

Let me guess the Roosters signed FPN to a base contract? What is his fair market value?

he is on 2nd tier contract for 60k. which i think is fair, he's not really a top 30 player. he'll play ressies.

FPN and Kurt Baptiste both have to pay the Roosters money to be able to play for them.
I think Tedesco and Cronk have the same contracts.
So does SBW, Cordner and Jake Friend.
Just your standard Roosters contract really.

I'm a Manly fan and we got caught cheating the salary cap. Now we can't sign anyone until it's resolved. I'm not saying the Roosters are the only team doing it, they just have better bookkeepers.

Anyone else going cheap in the CTRs to bulk up their 2RF with Brown, Merrin and Harris?

Cartwright was given big minutes in his trial matches and didn’t show much at all. Is everyone pretty much banking on him to make money by the increase in minutes which should increase is avg?

Second point. What is the siginifance of having more players play the first bye round

i have cartwright in my halves at the moment but I don't particularly like it. its one of two spots i'm just not happy with but also don't want to downgrade other areas to fix it.

I don't think it can be official until the salary cap shitfight is sorted but he starts training with them on Monday, if he's not too tired.
I hope the Tigers and/or dogs are paying his wages.

I have carty on my bench

    CS9
    JBrom Lodge
    Murray Merrin Jurbo
    Croft Thurston
    Leilua Kennar
    Turbo Mitchell Katoa

    Carty RFM Latu Thompson

    Havili Leilua Croker Kikau

Can’t seem to put carty in as a starter. Not enough confidence

Nice squad, I like it. Just out of curiosity which Thompson is that?

This is my placeholder team until TLT, obviously it's complete guessing and wishful thinking certain players start

    DPP Middies

    Smith
    Rochow/Lodge
    Liu/Murray/RFM
    Croft/Cartwright
    Leilua/LMitchell
    Ponga/Hayne/Inglis

    JFriend/Lichaa/Cook/
Then One of the usual suspects of Croker/CThompson/Katoa for the 4th bench spot

I can't believe the stats centre isn't up yet on the nrl fantasy website No ... if it wasn't for Milchcow's team planner and other sites we would be stuffed.

How many people (especially newbies) are going to rely on the fantasy coach predicted scores? Shocked

It’s corey Thompson... Tigers. I feel he will get FB for a while and even if Tui comes back he will find a spot on the wing

Tempted by Issac Luke so had a bit of a look at some stats

Looked fit in the trials and with Nathaniel Roache gone you would think he plays minimum 60-65 minutes. Probably play Lawton/Cook as a utility.
Playing for a contract this year as well so there is that too

He had 3 low minute games last year which would effect his pricing along with carry a niggly injury for most of 2017 so he is priced at 41.
In 2015/2016 he averaged around 48 so if he can find some form then he can potentially push to that. He scored above 50 seven times last year so capable of going well too if his mind is in it

Downside is he plays behind a weak to average pack and is coached by Kearney.
But if you think that with new arrivals of Harris and Blair improves their pack then there is that.
Also if his confidence is down then he is also capable of low involvement and the odd penalty so need to note that down too.

If the warriors can get a roll on and he gets some confidence up with the trademark darts out of dummy half then he should be underpriced and worth a punt

Disclaimer Lichaa/Cook are ranked higher on my list but you may want to stack this position

As a rookie to NRLF I have to agree, their site is rather crap. Glad I stumbled across this forum tho. Lots of info to help rookies out.
