For those who have been to League games at AFL grounds, they are generally shit because of the shape and you are too far away-pleasantly surprised they got it right at Optus though. Drop in seats North South East and West close the stadium up to make it more like an NRL ground. Even without that I reckon no matter where you sit it feels a lot closer than somewhere like Subi where I've seen a couple of games and it was horrible.
And dat light show...did they mention it at all on the coverage...? Hahaha.
Only whinge for the night-the Bulldogs were the only ones who bought their cheerleaders. Russell Crowe's Rugby League legacy for me will allways be that he took away fucking cheerleaders. Fuck him.

Oof, take those updates back, I don't want them.
I try to wait until after updates to post my score, since it generally goes up, but it looks like I might've dropped some with Hiku, Croft, JBrom, Cam and NAS all downgrading so far.. I dunno if anyone went up tbh.
Edit: Cook went up by 3, but downgrades to everyone except RFM and SST who stayed the same as far as my 17 is concerned.
Too depressed to calculate those changes.
Edit 2: 616 with NBrown, Arrow & Cartwright left.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 12
655 with Merrin, Cartwright and Kikau/Havili left.
Some pretty poor scores in my team so far:
Katoa - -3
Hiku - 17
SST - 28
Teddy - 29
Lodge - 30
JT - 31
But I've also had some pretty good scores:
Ponga - 75
Griffin - 63
Smith - 122
RFM - 61
Jurbo - 57
Cook - 57
Rochow - 46
Aitken - 42
Hoping for 775 but I doubt I will get there. We'll see.

610 with 4 to play (Merrin, Arrow, Carty, BJ)
Seems about average/slightly below - ranked 7485.
Katoa and Knik dicking me.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 12
Who is defending with Croft? Very rage-tradey, but thinking about Knik to Croft - but very sideways.
I'm happy to invest in Storm players cause of the success.
Smith topping the kick metres is a bit of a concern though, leaves much of Crofts scores to come from attacking -which there should be plenty of.
hmmm.

I have 694 with Arrow and Cartwright to play. If only it wasn't for Niko and Katoa, I'd be really happy with my score

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 12
Morning all, have started pretty well and want to keep the foot down. Is it worth switching out NBrown for a Merrin/Whitehead to bank 100k+ to use next week. Currently have Katoa as my only stand out problem.
Any help would be appreciated, cheers

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 12
586 with bj, arrrow and carty to go. Captain ted was a fail but a round 1 risk I was happy to take. Croft I don't like, fell off tackles, looks too skittish. Smith taking the long kicks. Gi looked uninvolved too. Missed Kennar and isaako, got Richie, sst disappointed. I think sst and croft are going. Can't keep those mid price traps around too long

I see we're up against each other in L2 mate. I think you will win:
602 with 4 to play = N. Brown, Arrow, Cartwright, Kikau/Havili
SST, Lodge, Croft, Mitchell, Tedesco & Katoa under performing. SST & Katoa will be gone this week.

Tough choice. Also need to factor Brown playing r13 vs the Merrin / Whitehead not

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 12
Hiku thoughts from a Warrior fan - Alot of his missed tackles were bump/drop off's early in the tackle count, it is fantasy pain but not too bad game wise. I think he'll be fine, he made a few good runs and was marking either I+GI or Gagai (can't recall), so can see him improving. Pretty much hit BE so all good.
I have Katoa, didn't play him though. I think I'll just keep him and wait for a new gun, unless I somehow can get $30k extra and turn him into Thompson. Isaako and Kennar's job security/point scoring ability doesn't excite me ATM.
Croft is a hold ATM for sure. The potential is there, will give him another couple rounds (unless someone coming up is a must buy). So is Inglis and Mitchell, 10 under BE without even being in the game. Backs are always up and down.
Other than that my side is looking OK (Cook, AFB, Lodge, Harris, JTurb, RFM, Griffen etc). Have Cartwright, Arrow, Merrin and Whitehead remaining at 615, will all be interesting to see how these boys go. Should crack 750.

Shit just had a look and I'm 500th overall and 4th in fanatics.
Quietly chuffed about that development.
705 with Brown, Arrow, and Cartwright to go. Would love an 800

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 12
Typical Round 1. Lots of upsets and players blowing out the rust. I’m still livid over that stupid forward pass call and disallowed try on HT for the bunnies, then the subsequent try at the other end. I think that was the game there. Anyway, fuck the refs.
As for fantasy, my bench is killing it....Cook, Griffin, RFM and Carty to come. I’m going to stick with Croft for a week or two. Katoa to either Thompson or Isaako will be the only trade.
658 with Cartwright, Cleary and Kikau to come. I’m hoping for high 700’s. That will do.
Off fishing overnight at Kauri Creek, so won’t catch any games. Good luck.

At least I have the luxury of just leaving Katoa on the bench as opposed to worrying about him in my starting team. Any cheap forwards that looked good?

680 with N Brown Cartwright Kikau/Havili to go
leaning towards playing Kikau especially if he starts
