Hmm I traded Merrin to Fifita only 100k the difference. It would be nice if Merrin were out so I wouldn’t feel so bad about trading this week

Well, it happened. Have no CTR cover and now Hayne is injured. Will have to figure out something.

I have a feeling Walker/Matterson would be a fairly POD halves pairing?

Trading Cartwright to JMK lets me go Hayne -> Ferguson/Aitken. So I'll probably do something like that.

Have Merrin as well but I'm gonna hold him.

    Carty - JMK
    Griffin - Fifita
I'm going away for a couple of weeks so have set my bench up with cover for every position, makes me appreciate just how much better the ranked subs are over the old AE.

If I only use one trade this week and go Lichaa to JMK it leaves me with 428k as I'm not really sure if I need to make another trade plus I don't know who to turf straight away lol. Does that sound decent?

I had planned to make no trades this week, then Rapana got 17 Sad Sucks to have a premium price player capable of getting a score like that. Wish he was a fullback instead of a winger. Has a high BE this week.

Also looking like Sao is topping out if he is going to come off the bench each week from now on.

They both dont play round 13, so thinking of trading both out to get a high scoring consistent player in for Rapana and a bottom dollar cheapie for Sao, looks like there are going to be a few around this week.

As long as they are both being replaced by those playing in round 13, I haven't really wasted any trades, as I am planning to trade towards playing 16 in round 13 anyway. Just going to prune my team when needed to keep the value high and improving its points potential each week.

I also completed an exercise to compare the players in the top 7 teams, to see who they all had in common and how they compared both to my current team and the potential great buys out there at the moment. Was really worthwhile. There are players that I would normally have picked up based on value like Mbye and Alvaro, that I am deliberately going to miss, as the top players have them already, and just hope that my alternative PODs outperform them, while they falter / get injured.

My theory is that you can't easily catch up 170 points on the leader if your team becomes more similar to theirs each week. You need to shake things up with smart alternatives that give you a chance to catch them when they fire.

All the top 7 teams have 2 or 3 origin players in them, so planning to make up 200+ points over origin time. Interestingly all 7 have Jurbo, so a bad week from him, or a good week from my alternatives to him, will go a long way to catching them up.

Is RFM worth bringing in for those that don't have him?

Thinking of going Merrin> Murray, Croker >RFM.

Can bring in anyone who is cheaper than RFM. unless I hold croker and punt carty instead (neither will play in my 17) will give me 607k. THoughts?

They'll all definitely have 17 for both bye rounds. Jurbo is interesting, I wouldn't have thought his ownership would be as high as what it is.

Last 2 weeks I was able to loop the following players

Kikau over Havili (23 point gain)
    Hiku over Thompson(14 point gain)

With TPJ out this week I will probably upgrade Katoa to JMK (or other cashie) and use TPJ for looping.

Doueihi will probably revert to bench role in a few weeks but he is another potential loophole for a week or 2 before cashing out.

Impossible. Max you can have is 33 players total over the 2 origin rounds (unless someone makes a mid-season transfer and ends up playing both 13 and 17 for different clubs)

Have had him since the start. Played 80 minutes every week. Interestingly even played edge, then went to the middle.

Had a shocker 2 weeks ago, to get a 14, but looks to be an anomaly. The other 2 weeks has looked great. May have just helped you out by keeping his value down a bit.

Also only in 2 of the top 7 teams, and one had him in EMG so is a POD to try and catch them Smile

Was something weird going on with Tigers rotation at the weekend. Only had 1 prop on the bench, Twal, with Eisenhuth starting at Lock. It meant Matulino and Packer got huge minutes (73 for Packer). Anyone know how long Taylor is out for? Packer getting big minutes could be a great opportunity.
