Getting 1 of the Dragons halves seems the go since they are the strongest team atm & with that forward pack both Widdop & B. Hunt are always going to dominate & get good go forward ball. Manly should bounce back this week playing at home but DCE is a bit dearer than both Widdop & B. Hunt.
The Dragons halves pretty evenly split the workload though, DCE has control of Manly.

Have Carty in my EMG, so it's not like i'm worried about his score (other than for cash purposes) - is it worth holding him or ditch?

My only decision would be if I trade him out for JMK instead of trading out Nicholls.

@mattnz probably not wise trading Rapana. He's a gun in a turbulent spot. Best to keep gun WFB/CTR if you already have them

If I turf Carty to JMK, I can turn Merrin into anyone up to 837k.

Importantly, this leaves me lacking in halves, especially if (when) Douehi moves to bench (and either way, if Carty is benched, I have a ongoing issue). Mbye can be subbed to half, though still means i need a WFB. So that 837k would probably need to spent at HLF or WFB... options...

Unfortunately the above leaves me holding Nicholls in emergencies.

Its tempting to just turn Merrin into Matterson and play him at half, and trading out nicholls for JMK.

JMKs reliance on attacking stats for a decent score is what worries me.

Bulldogs won't have many huge attacking games

I turfed Carty to afford Fifita. I'll just have to use Croker if injury/suspension hits my halves until I can upgrade him.

With the options, running Croker isn't the worst thing in the world IMO. Especially if you have 1 gun half.

He is still cheap enough. I brought in Rochow this week who is 70K more expensive. I think Isaako is starting to gain a lot more confidence. I noticed last game against the tigers he was coming in a lot more off his wing for those forward runs in the red zone. He is due for a try or two and against the Titans seems to be where everyone goes big. Plus he is kicking goals. I don't think it is too late.

Yes I hate doing it, but the Raiders aren't getting the ball to him in scoring opportunities. Has been passed the ball in a scoring opportunity once in 3 games so far. Wasn't looking active like he should have been this week, which is where he gets his normally strong base from.

I see Friend getting 50+ from high tackle count as his base when playing limited minutes and can get 70 like last week when he has more minutes. He plays round 13, and is not in any of the top 7 teams. Basically seeing it as for similar money I am getting a player with a much lower BE, who on his bad days gets what Rapana is getting on his good days and should have the same ceiling.

If carty is named on reserves as rumoured and I also have arrow at lock, I suddenly have a strong 17 that I am confident will all score well each week.

My starters should all be good for 40+ each week, with a bench of Friend, Kikau, Rochow, Griffin, plus my pick of 3 emergencies through the loophole.

Both trade ins this week aren't in the top 7 teams, which is a huge thing for me trying to catch them.

Half situation is giving me a headache.

JT (current half) under performing losing cash
mbye can he keep this up?
    Koro - meh
Widdop - keep thinking it's a waste of a trade due to the fact i don't see him in my final 17 but may change my mind if he keeps his avg
DCE - probably the next best thing from SJ/Cleary?
SJ - my initial next in line pick up but might still drop again this round

    Keep changing between

    JT > Widdop
JT > Friend/Macca - leaves me running JMK & Douie with "Cartly doing anything" as cover

Bringing him in this week for Lichaa. Is dpp, goal kicking, safe spot for atleast 8 more weeks and hasn't scored a try yet. Great buy imo.

I initially wanted a way to get fifita. But it really leaves my half choices bare as niko/douehi/JMK. It could pay off, but its very risky. Even if i dont trade carty, if hes on the bench, hes not much use to me.

Looking short term, merrin to fifita looks great.
