Just a note on comparing to top teams at this stage of the season:

It is possible that the top scorers early are guys that haven't really set up their teams for the long run.

I don't know if this is the case in NRLF this year but in VSDT, the guy currently in 1st has 8 absolute bottom dollar guys on his bench that have played 1 game so far between them. The result is that while he has the absolute maximum amount of money tied up in his starting 17 as is possible now (and is scoring accordingly) he will not be in contention come the end of the season cause he simply won't be able to generate the cash required.

Team this week after my 2 potential trades which will be - Carty & Havili out & Murray & JMK in
    84k in bank

    Smith (c)
    Arrow, Lodge
    Jurbo, N. Brown, Murray
    Doueihi, JMK
    Mitchell, Isaako
    Tedesco, Ponga, Thompson

    Cook, RFM, Kikau, Rochow
    JFH, Griffin, L. Croker, Kennar

I was going to get Dufty over Murray but Thompson against the Eels at home so I can see big points from him.

Do your research Krump you spud.
How many points do you think the top teams will score over the two rounds?

I'm going away for a couple of weeks so have set my bench up with cover for every position, makes me appreciate just how much better the ranked subs are over the old AE.

They'll all definitely have 17 for both bye rounds. Jurbo is interesting, I wouldn't have thought his ownership would be as high as what it is.

Here is how it works. If you have 3 origin players and 9 playing round 13 and 9 playing round 17 at the moment, you would need to use 8 trades to get to 17 playing in round 13. You now have 3 origin players and just 1 due to play in round 17!! The max trades possible is 12 between rounds 13 and 17, so the most you can have in round 17 is 13 playing, by burning 20 trades to do it!

I have 0 origin players and can play 16 and 17 the 2 bye rounds. Planning ahead should get me a lot of points over those in the lead that haven't planned well for the byes.

With the exception of 1 team, all the top 7 have good cash cow EMGs. Their mid rangers are doing great and even their guns are performing well. they all have high team value.

Great as potential for points, but sucks if you want to win overall, as both the top 2 teams have him already.

My team scored 878 over the weekend

    Smith (C)
    Fifita, Lodge
    NAS, Murray, Arrow
    Doueihi, Moses
    Kenner, Hiku
    Ponga, RTS, Dufty

    Cook, Griffen, Thompson, RFM
    Kikau, Croker, Cartwright, Leilua

Made the mistake of having Kikau in emergencies over Thompson. But my biggest issues are Moses and Leilua, I have 48k Currently in the bank.

Options I Have come up with:

    Leilua - Isaako
    Moses - Keary
    34k ITB

    or

    Leilua - JMK
    Moses - Mbye
    68k ITB

If I go JMK then I will have no CTR cover and only have Kenner and Hiku who play centres, I would rather bring in Isaako for Leilua but unsure on the half, Keary or other options under $633K?

I think Isaako is a good option now with Kahu out for a long time, I never picked him up in the beginning as I though he would only get a couple of weeks, but Kahus broen Jaw changes things.

    What do you guys think?

Keary has never been Fantasy relevant. He has put up 2 good scores but from what I can see his base stats for a half are very average.

BJ actually looked very good on the weekend and was surprised his score was that low, if I had him I'd consider holding but I know you don't want too.

I haven't answered your questions but just my thoughts.

Got pushed outside the top 1000 this week so my chances of winning are nil.

Thinking of bringing him and Matters in for Merrin and SST

Is ditching Mitchell and bringing in Harris a good idea? Would mean running with Isaako and Kennar in my CTRS for the time being

Is there no way to see what scores players have gotten in previous weeks?

Thinking of moving on JT this week. The best guys I can get in one trade are Widdop, MBye and Walker. Any of those guys considered long-term keepers? I have been burned before by Widdop and Mbye in previous years.

I've been messing around with ditching Mitchell as well, leaving Isaako/Kennar in the centres for a week or two. Very tempting

Thinking of making the move on JT also.

Was going to go JT > Friend but then I will be playing JMK/Douie/Carty with out a certain starter half so ended up going JT > Widdop.
