I intend to be looking at the leaders throughout the season, to see what it takes to overhaul them. Definitely not going to do something silly just to avoid similar players, but I do see it as a valid strategy to differentiate your team from those ahead of you, to offer the best chance of catching up to them quickly.

It's pretty much a new game this year mate, go for it.

Can you get Cook in without sacrificing CS9?

Cook is an absolute must have, probably has another $200,000 to make, not that you would trade him out mind

not really, well, maybe. team is generally full of midrangers/cashies still making money, so dont really know what to do.

To become a mod you need to PM @Random multiple dick pics.

How else do you think @Mulvy and @filthridden became mods?

I thought that is how you got it in the first place though.

This new format is something else though. I reckon a lot of noobs will get lost in the detail.

Honestly I'm not sure the team changes indicate much change, still got a third half so it won't surprise me if Hingano comes into the halves and Sezer pushes to hooker again (I really hope not, not sure if Hingano can play any time at hooker but maybe?). Ricky is really stubborn. There is no real reason he couldn't have given Havili more time in the other team compositions by bringing him back on for the last 20 say.

Has there been an offical reasoning for Frawley being dropped? I’m keen on bringing in JMK but have a feeling it may not be wise.

Cook is pretty much a must have nailed on top 17 player $200,000 underpriced

I'd cash out someone early and upgrade Carty to Cook

This was meant to be the quote I was bagging. I reckon SI used his superhuman interwebbery powers to sabotage me.

I think it is dangerous to be so focused on the top 7 teams there Matt.

For context there are 'girlfriend' teams stacked with guns/cheapies but may burn out fast if they don't build value.
This may be even more important with the size of squads this year as well.

After only 3 games the sample size is small so if a player gunned it for a few weeks you may get a large point/price injection but this may level out with poor games
So if certain teams picked a few of these guys they will be high up in the rankings, perhaps even fluking a risky captain move ala Ponga/Johnson/RTS. These often catch up with you as well
You also only have to see a season average to see that some scores just aren't sustainable, so again the scores may be front loaded.

Lastly players behind you may be just as likely to pass you with a few smart choices, so the table can vary a lot depending on their risk.
You only have to ask a few people here to see a lot have clawed back massive ranks via some smart choices/planning and luck (Myself included)

Ask OntheBeatPete how focused he was on the players in front of him in round 4

Anyways I like you as a new poster and what you have to say is generally good, would just say to focus on your own team right now as that is what you can control
If you are top 50 and within 100 points of the lead in 16 weeks then you can start to worry bout the other stuff Smile

Kennar is probably the best cost effective option in the CTRs while JMK is a cashcow who I think I am going to start over Cartwright.
If you didn't start with Kennar what is his long term benefit? JMK instead maybe?
