Was about to say Dugan. Also Blake Ferguson looks like he really wants to know this year. Centres are such a lottery though.
Looked at Inglis to Dugan but if GI ever moves to FB I think it will be a wasted sideways trade

    Will have -

    Cook (c)
    Fifta Lodge
    Jurbo Brown Murray
    DCE Douei
    Kennar Isaako
    Teddy Ponga Thompson

    Arrow, RFM, Griffin, Kikau
    Hiku, Havili, Croker, Katoa

I am looking at those exact trades myself. We would have the same 17 except:
you = Fifita & Kennar (Kennar in my npr's)
    me = Rochow & L. Mitchell

I don't think it's crazy with the way Smith is scoring atm & he's not even ranked in the top 15 players. You have a couple of captaincy options with Fifita & Jurbo. However because we've been conditioned to having Smith in our teams it feels wrong selling.

I mean I want someone who can either be set and forget, although not a major fan of most choices, or a cheap option to stockpile cash for a decent HLF down the line.

I'm playing Isaako over Kennar this week, but you've already figured that one out.

Set and forget centres, two names jump to mind - Euan Aitken and James Roberts. Friend of mine has Cotric and we both had him last year. Was pretty much right on the 40 average for keeper status and looks pretty good this year too, and the only one of those 3 with dual position.

Dugan is cheap as guts at the moment, without delving into it, I'm pretty sure it's between the 42-45 range

I would describe Dugan as set and make sure you check that he's not injured every week.

Yeah, good poster thus far certainly not a sheep as opposed to me when I make selections!  Also, ALL Matt's I have ever known have been both very handsome, intelligent, and just generally all round nice guys Very Happy

Did you mean PhilGouldsChins when he won it in 2015 or OnTheBeatPete when top 100 4 Rounds in last year?

Haha I meant PhilGouldsChins, had a bit of a mind block and got the names mixed up as i was multitasking (OTBP PGC you see the confusion haha)
Correct that OntheBeatPete had a decent run at the top too.

To be fair some selections naturally select themselves as this game is all about timing, and knowing when to buy/sell
So being a sheep in certain positions is good sometimes. Just like being different for the sake of it doesn't always work either, sometimes POD are like that for a reason haha.
The art is in selecting the right POD or being ahead of the curve on a gun reverting back to their status.

Watching games is really the only way to gauge this other than stats and making a calculated gamble on them returning
Or looking ahead a couple rounds and thinking 'If i have to 2 cheap halves, or centres what happens if i get an injury or they get dropped, who can I target to upgrade to in 2 weeks'
Nothing worse than getting caught in limbo when you are having to gamble on NPR to fill your 17 slots.
It helps asking yourself this as bringing in say 2 cheap halves one week and the next step up is 800k, you may be stuck with these players a while if you can't find the $$$

So having one gun in this position and one 'project' may better as you only have one problem to fix potentially, not 2.
2 cheapies are fine as long as you have an exit strategy really

my 2c ramble for the evening

GK is stopping him from going sub 20s which is his big downfall, I reckon he goes over 40+

He 'plays injured' but if he bangs out a 50 who cares if he stays down for a bit or limps haha.
He really doesn't miss a huge amount of games these days to be fair

Despite his low B/E, I think I will need to watch Alvaro another week.
He is just too hard to work out.

25 tackles in 38 mins week one.
45 tackles in 55 mins week two, coming off the bench.
52 tackles in 42 mins week three

Priced at 42, not much value if he scores similarly to the first two weeks.
One of the most underpriced guns going if he replicates his last game more often.

Nothing wrong with Smith trade out if you get 2 potential guns out of it and have a safe captain option.
It's all about $$ to points and he does take a large chunk of change and not really value for money but you do get that safety net.
Just be careful he is not another Parker (a couple years back) when he got moved to prop and scored poor the first few rounds.....We all know how that ended

Dont know what youre on about. He has consistently done fuck all so far this season, but still returned just passable scores (with the help of goal kicking)

This is exactly why he will go above his average this year, 3 rounds in and done pretty much fuck all yet averaging 35...

Without GK he would be around the 28/30 average and he still hasn't put up any monster games we all know he is fantasy capable of
