I need a cow or two in my life.
Next on the pecking order at the tigers -
Eisenhueth
Twal
SSue (Middy)
I am not sure a cow will join the starting lineup. More likely just on to the bench

elijah taylor due back this week so he'll take probably 60 mins in the middle. eisenhuth probably just shifts to prop with taylor 13? maybe taylor on the bench in his first game back, twal starts, or something.

J. Isaako - BE of 22, unless he gets a big score, he will get close to peaking in the next few weeks.
P. Godinet - BE of 25. He can reach that, at the same time scored 7 last week. Looks like a trade.
A. Doueihi - BE of 23, coming from the bench. I wish he was starting and I don't want to trade him. I may have to as he is losing cash.
L. Croker - BE of 23, he will be losing cash soon. However he is more likely to get a big score and be able to survive a few weeks. Also plays Round 13.
I have C. Thompson and J. Marhsall-King as well, both of them have lower BE's and will continue to make cash.
My main trade out options at this stage are Doueihi (If he is named on the bench.) As well as Godinet, he could score decently again, but he has the highest BE of all four guys above. He should be able to reach that, as I think last week was an outlier, I do need to generate cash.
My main trade targets at this stage are J. Fisher-Harris, N. Cotric, A. Fifita, and S. Johnson (Who is losing cash so can wait.)
Fisher-Harris has to come in this week, he could jump $50k by next week. As Milchcow pointed out there is some concern about Merrin, and the Griffin effect. His cash increase means it is still worth jumping on him.
N. Cotric he has a BE of 38. So I can wait on him at least one week. One for a trade out, and one for Fisher-Harris. If I cash out one for a bottom price player, then I get close to Isaako -> Cotric depending on prices next week.
A. Fifita he is a gun. I just don't have enough cash flow to grab him. I could look at trading out Whitehead, or Lodge for him though. Lodge has cash to make, and Whitehead I think is a keeper if he stays in the middle of the field and doesn't get shifted anymore.
I am pretty well sold on getting Harris this week, and looking at Cotric/Fifita next week. If I do that I need to make sure I have cash left over. So one of my trade outs have to be for cash.
Best cash out options?
NPR - Means I can devolve into a loophole degenerate.
Gosiewski - Plays Round 13, but gives me less cash and makes it harder to make a trade for Fifita/Cotric next week.
Interesting thoughts re Whitehead. I'm pretty sold on selling him as I think just him moving around into centres too much is just too inconsistent to bank on. I really like him and would like to keep him but it's hard to see the upside. He's also only scored 50's with tries and the last two weeks have been underwhelming albeit not his fault with moving around. I don't see him as a real tackle buster or offloader either so I think there are probably more valuable options out there.
I'm probably gonna do Whitehead -> JFH, seems like a no brainer.
Whitehead to Fifita pencilled in for me.

Cheers Milch. If I go one of the halves, I'll bank $260k and can pick up Fifi next week in one trade.

Hey Loomer, when you say map out your trades long term what exactly are the factors and information you look at? I have always struggled to look at the long term. Just some advice mate would be super handy.

I currently have 13, but likely 10 if DCE, Tedesco and Cook make origin. Maybe even Ponga too.

If wighton is stood down i might just do one trade and go douhy to cotric and try and guess the two best to play out of inglis maloney jmk and isaako

Do I start getting in as many Rd 13 players as possible between now and origin? Or is there still time to wait. Want to give myself the best chance of capitalising on my current rank of 150.
Im of the opinion that the bye round strategy is going to come into things far less than last year. The reason is, when I crunch the numbers on getting a final squad of 18 together by seasons end, there are no leftover trades to do things like bring a semi-gun in now (Surgess for example) with the mind to trade him to a round 17 playing gun later. I think there would be a tradeoff of immediate points that you would get from a bye round strategy and total points over the season because extra trades there will mean either less to cover for injuries or less to generate cash to get you final 18.
What I do see as feasible is:
Bringing in guys who play round 13 and will make money in the meantime, with the view to trading them out by 17.
As well as attempting to cash out to round 13 or 17 playing guys that will disappear thereafter (broncos and dogs forwards seem most likely).
And then perhaps 1, at most 2 trades solely for the sake of adding to bye round totals. I would only see that as borderline gun to gun trades. As an example, Surgess in now trading to Mannering for 17. But I'm actually not convinced that's gonna be sensible, actually I thin it might be detrimental this year.
The main point is though, if you stack your team full of round 13 playing guys, none of those fullahs will play 17, so the bye round strategy would all be about buying trades to switch between the guys you get in for 13 to guys who then play 17. Lots of trades for little gain IMO!

This isn't sounding too good for Wighton. Surely he can't play on but we probably won't know until Thursday or so after his court appearance.

I'd be happy to have 14-15 in each
NO!
That was a number brought up by a poster who I think significantly misjudged things.
You would have to burn way too may trades to get to that point, all for the sake of basically 50 points a trade at best.

Okay so are we just doing our best to build a final team as early as possible with a decent mix of 13 and 17 players?

I reckon just fuck the bye rounds. Field what you got. If there's a gun you want that plays 13, sweet as. But essentially if you don't burn the trades, it'll work out because the players you have in one round won't play the next. I wouldn't bother getting fringe guns at the expense of extra cash and the trades.

Barnett suspended. Dunno if that would mean anything for Griffin, maybe could see him on the park 80 again, when Levi comes on he actually plays the rest of the game at lock.

That is exactly what will happen, well I'd like that to be the case
By the way I know nothing
