This discussion re selling Cook is the same one we use to have with Smith. Some people go for the punt & some don't.

Cheers Rhino and Pain, I like set A too. I can put Fonua in the centres as I didn’t realise he had become DPP. So that’s good. Gives me a very strong 13, 2 good bench players and 2 average ones.

Yep. And good arguments on both sides of the fence. Probably a lot comes down to individual teams.

Origin players usually back up for their clubs unless injured. These players are extremely fit & 2 games in a week is no problem. Past origin players have said they felt better playing a couple of days after origin because the pain & bruises from origin start kicking in after 3 or 4 days.

It's a good point in regards the turnaround. Physiologically in general we tend to feel aches and strains more so 48 hours after intense exercise then the actual next day.

Had a look at Graham’s scores. First couple games Sharks had 0 attack! He then broke out and scored a solid 49 then a 20 odd in a shocking game against storm with something like 40 penalties. Then a 46 against roosters and his 2 games in the span of 4 weeks after we’re injury affected. Then last week first game back from injury had a nice 40.

    Thoughts?
Cogger, S’ua, Brimson, Thompson, Murray and maybe TPJ/Martin can all become SJ, RTS, Teddy, McInnis, Guerra, McCullogh etc.

Without going back into the archives, pretty sure Wade Graham goes on solid runs of scores as well. He was a Gun for half of a couple of seasons a while back. Might be due for those taking the chance.

I'm hoping Graham is good for a 40 point average to get close to 600k before Round 17, although in the past he's been a 50 point player. No tries or line breaks and only one TA this season and he's capable of busting out a few of all of the above if he or the Sharks hit form.

    Full strength team would be
    Cook
    Arrow Fifita
    Tolo Jurbo Chrichton
    DCE Cogger
    Fonua Mitchell
Ponga Turbo Thompson(who will become Gun next week)

    Smith TPJ Martin Friend
Graham S’ua Brimson Murray (1 of these sua, Murray, Cogger to become gun HLF next week)

Targets to get in before R17

    SJ
    McInnes
    THarris

    if dropped for origin 3

    Macca
    Cleary

No ones else I want in before R17 who I also want in my final 17, so will be taking a hit there for players 10/11. Another reason for me to slightly attack this R13
JTurbo, TTurbo, Cook back in, after R17 if backing up.

With the team I have 500+ will be an A+ for me this week. Not sure if I am too keen on selling guys like Cook, Jurbo, Chricton. Players are known to back up after origin and with a full week dedicated to origin 2 they will have more recovery time this year so will most likely not break down so easily.

for me, Cook in/out comes down to:
    - Does Farah play well, therefore he earns a bench spot to spell Cook in R14; or Cook's rested
    - Do Souths beat the Sharks and therefore Siebold chooses not to risk Cook in order to give him a good spell, especially against the Titans.

Cook is out for me for Doughboy, which allows me to pick up Cam next week.
Hoping Doughboy can make a fist of FB, and keep Johnston on the sidelines or on the wing, or give GI a rest. and he serves as the inevitable Arey cover.

Hmmm think that is beyond wishful thinking Bronc as he is 3rd in line at best for fullback. Your better bet and hope is that he actually plays 6 and Walker lines up at fullback as that would make him more than just cover for ARey.

    Dugan or gal ?

I decided trading jturbo out instead of cook more chance of loosing money when his big score falls off with his last 2 game average being 42
