2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 61

It's all about which players get those long term injuries.

We've just seen Reynolds, Croker and... someone else, I'm sure... ruled out for the season this last round.

Croker fantasy relevant but not a huge amount of people had him.

I might start noting down "season ending injuries" this weekend til the end of the season for a good, easy reference for this time next year. SO we can see who we lost in each of the last few rounds.

I am still leading the SaveYoTrades charge. Five left. No trades this round, playing Brimson to cover Ponga. Busted out a 50, let's see if he can do another.

Excellent starting pack. I wish I still had Kikau.

There were glimpses in the 2nd half last game of SJ returning to form & becoming much more involved especially his running game. I think he's going to carve up against the Storm this week. I also think Mannering announcing his retirement although sad is in fact a master stroke. The team will lift & there is now extra motivation to send Mannering out with a premiership. All the Warriors have to do is go back to how they were playing at the start of the season where they played low risk footy in their own half backed up by a good kick chase. Presently they are making too many mistakes in their own half.

The week I'm going to upgrade Isaako and he's going to play FB... what a mind fuck.

Yeah I was going to sell him in sc haha. To think it took me most of the week to decide & now he's a keep.

My worry is the experiment only lasts a week. If he scores poorly this week he will be under 500k and with only 3 trades left and 69k in the bank I'm not sure what to do. I was sold on selling him for Blake but now I'm lost.

All I’m waiting for is Ponga to return so I can flick Brown(unless he changes my mind over the next week or two) to Ponga and then my team is set. Will only have 1 trade left after doing so though so praying for no injuries my team will look like this for the run home.

I have 6 before trades this week. Will either use 1 or 2. 1 trade for Kikau or 2 for Lewis to nuff and JTurbo.

I reckon just stick with Isaako. His b/e of 43 isn't that bad & at f/b he'll get much more ball. With 3 trades left doing Isaako now that he's at f/b to Blake could even lose you points.

I remember Isaakos first first grade game last year at FB he scored 12. But the team didn't use him at all so Im sure it will be different this time around.

Feels weird to trade out my man Brimson and keep TMM. Both served me really well last week when I was expecting 20s

What is a sensible amount of trades to have entering these remaining rounds? (Assuming your team is done and don’t plan any trades, barring injuries etc)

I have 5 atm. 3 after I bring in Farah this week. Then I’m done

I wouldn't worry about that. As I remember it was his first game & he was brought in the day of the game so he hadn't even trained with the team so didn't know any of the calls or plays. As I remember what stood out was his ability under the high ball & as you said he didn't really do anything else.

How long is a piece of string? I'd say the average here is less than 2 though so you're doing ok.

Would Pearce be a better option than Arey and Milf if I can afford him? I just have enough cash if I trade Lewis to a nuff.

Tough call. It's hard when you like both but you need to sell for an upgrade. Having considering selling TMM instead of Brimson.
