Leaves me with 4 trades, 82k itb and this final team.
Cook
Fifita Taupau
Lolo Jurbo Martin
SJ DCE
Mitchell Cotric
Teddy Turbo Ponga(when fit)
Smith Farah Arrow Arey
Surgess Lewis isaako Olive
Tempted to put SJ at 18th man and play Arey based on recent form.
Seem solid enough? Anyone see better trade options?
Currently ranked 425 and just want to catch as many as possible really,

It's not unreasonable barring injury.

Interesting start at Broncos training with Jamayne Isaako running at fullback and Darius Boyd at left centre. Jordan Kahu on right wing. #NRL @cmail_sport @couriermail

Do it mate, 4 trades is better than most as well.

Its seems that out of the 6 forward and 4 INT spots most people have 7-8 of the same players, with the remaining 2-3 positions covered by players that are only slightly less popular.
Halves, it seems that everyone has 2 of SJ, DCE, Arey.
The real variations seem to be CTR and WFB. out of the 5 positions, there are only 2-3 that would be common across most teams in a similar way to the Forwards. I.e Teddy, Aitken.
Is now the time of year to start getting creative with Captain options?
The more I look into it, the more I realise those with less than 3 trades (myself included) are pretty boned from this position. Regardless of your team set up, obviously some are worse than others, pending coverage.
My advice to those looking to make up points/positions, making a trade that will improve a positions score by 10 points a round for rest of year, is probably less valuable then ensuring you can field 17 decent players for length of season.
Sounds like an avatar bet in the making...filthridden wrote:
Cook and Smith are the only ones I know who have had 50+ for seven or more weeks in a row.
JTurbo has managed 4 50s in a row as his best streak. Statistically very unlikely he doubles that and joins the elite of Cook and Smith.
They've got to do something to keep him 3/4 of the clubs in the NRL would be chasing him.my tv broke wrote:Re Isaako FB, Bennett all but confirmed it would happen, on the bronx site.

In that case. Brimson.
Others are talking about Brown as an option to trade out. Not sure the thinking behind that, but I assume it has some merit.

Done. Thanks for everyones advice.
So would wou play SJ or Arey. The other is 18th man.

Agreed mate.
I made the decision a couple of weeks ago to save my remaining 4 trades. Personally I think that is the safest way to make up places, but could also backfire if this is one of those years where injuries don't strike at the back end.
Those who grab players like Hoppa and get Ponga (a lot held him I know) back in are taking a risk running down their trades or running out. But if there are stuffall injuries then their bravery is rewarded.
my tv broke wrote:Hmmm.. might reverse Brown to J Trbo..
Can just play Surgess instead of Brown anyway.. decisions..

I agree mate. The best way to make up ground on the leaders is conserving trades & hoping those above you have run out. Then you can mow them done quite quickly. MS is the master of this & does it every year. Patience is key & this is the reason why most people don't win fantasy because most people don't have patience.
