This is a tough week for trades

There are people we probably want to bring in, but all the obvious trade out targets are too cheap to afford them. Means we probably have to downgrade someone who costs a bit of money

Otherwise we sit on people that we probably don't want to be sitting on

Bit early but looking like some fantastic trade ins this week so far.

Plenty of points and $s from the two new recruits starting rd 2 off well. Now watch the banner next week be Holland and Garrick.............

Yeah mate, consensus nailed it! Burns looking like one of the guys that if you didnt grab by round 2 you will find your self playing catch up.

I think next week will be interesting as in order to chase the value guys (who ever they turn out to be, but lets hypothetically assume Bateman/Gillett type guys) we are gonna have to make some tough calls as to how to get them or alternatively whether to pass them up for now).

Yeah 43k in the bank doesn't leave us a lot of room. Trades this week will be even harder than the last week for sure. Hopefully this round has a few more nice surprises for us

    Good start this week.

Most of the other celeb teams played Host, Rava or both.

Generation Jack has Farah who won't score a double every week.

Poor old Renegades have Host as one of only 2 FRF, so they'll probably need to spend a trade there next week

@No Worries the easiest way would be to start a league with them in it.

There should be an option to add celebrity teams somewhere. I cant remember exactly where though and I think you need to be on the desktop version to do it.

It's only a pain if you don't recognise everyones team name and we all spent enough time looking at yours last year...

Great score this week, 900+ I understand, and can see we have an overall rank of 172 Smile

Tough week for trades, we have a decent starting 17 now, as long as we play halves roulette well each week.

Key weaknesses are likely Rava, Sivo, both not getting any decent ball on attack and may be slow burners. If Xerri is available this week, which is looking possible with knee injuries to both Feki and Moylan he would be a good trade target for one of them. Killed it again in ISP, with a try and 2 try assists this weekend.

Burr may not keep getting much game time either, Roach withdrew with calf tightness and should be back next week and both iPap and Jazz have an eye on his position.

Not seeing any other obvious trade outs, with most others redeeming themselves this week if they started slow in week 1.

    Any other thoughts / ideas?

I'd be inclined to bank trades this week, or single trade to a new cow if Rava dropped (if he isn't, would hold). Burr is a likely tradeout soon, but still has cash in him even in a 30-minute role.

    Week 2 - Recap

Another solid week where we improved and put up 913 points and into 172nd overall. Puts us in a very strong position for the rest of the season.

NRLFF community managed fantasy team - Page 14 Round_13
NRLFF community managed fantasy team - Page 14 Celbri10

    The Studs

Really happy with almost everyone this week. But first I feel I should make public apologies to Arrow and Taupau.
I'm sorry I ever wrote about tough calls being made on them due to concern over minutes as they were excellent this week. Don't mess with Keepers. I know there are still concerns with both but this week proves they deserve to stay until its proven they are sells.

The forum also deserves a pat on the back with some very successful decisions. Half roulette was successful with Brown posting a strong score and Keighran being a dud. Also our trade ins of Lawrie and Burns were both fantastic netting great scores and making a ton of cash.

To show what a good week it was only Fifita (who is a keeper), Taupau (also keeper) and Edwards (bad game last week with a high BE) were below their BE.

    Ranta's Concerns

Macca - Scored off a forward pass and wasn't as involved. But the cowboys did get belted so tackle count should be higher in future.
Mahoney - Played well and will keep riding the increases but gut feel is 45+ isn't sustainable and shouldn't be relied upon. Wouldn't want to have him as our only HOK option for those jumping off Macca. Plays well and not a problem short term.
Burr - Minutes decreasing. Don't think we can trust in the 17 but should be good for cash
Capewell - Moved to the wing for a large stretch of the game. A subpar score and may be a slow cash burner. Value is there just not super fast.
Edwards - Bleeding cash due to the poor first game. A talented player but not seemingly in tune on the panthers attacking structures. May not be as undervalued as hoped to begin the season.

    The Duds

Keighran and Ravalawa stunk it up in our EMG but thats to be expected with cashies. They won't always score big. Morgan was our lowest actual scoring player but was playing in a thoroughly beaten side with no go forward. Will monitor but 26 is dissapointing.

    Trades this week.

We have 43k and nothing super obvious stands out. Couple of impressive performances for sure though by Bird, Burgess and Klemmer. What trades would people look at for this team. On Tuesday night I'll pull what people suggest for a vote like last week.
