With the possible exception of the world club challenge, assuming teams want to win it and field their best side.

Edit: be interesting to see how Radley is used.

Haven't seen anyone talk about Radley for a while, what's the run down on him?

I did say NRL trial, but talking about the world club challenge, in the past I expect that to be an awesome selection trial only to be butt raped by Kane Evans and Brodie Croft whom I selected solely after watching this game.

It's still a informative type trial though, just made a bad selection in those years

Really warming to a backline of Drinkwater/Edwards/Watson

Some people think he may get the starting lock role, and more minutes/scoring

They might keep Liu as starting lock and bring Radley on for impact.

Supercoach players all seem dead keen on him. Fantasy players seem a bit wary at the moment.

Given the World Club Challenge is a proper game and not a mickey mouse trial we should be able to use that to get a reasonable read on how he'll be used this year.

So who’s putting Knight or Tatola in their side if one of them will be starting for the first few weeks for 300k? Could be a cheat way to potentially score 35 points or so from 300k for the first few weeks and use the cash elsewhere and then decide what to do later on.

I like that too. Watson will make my team for sure. Just debating whether it's worth spending that much on CTW initially. That said, all 3 could turn out keepers

hmm, Melbourne club legend moving on, replacement has had a mere taste of first grade but excelled in what we've seen of him. Welcome to my team Brodie Croft Scott Drinkwater

In fairness to Croft, he had 4-5 great fantasy games prior to 2018, and when he got back in the team after a crap first month, his scoring went back to what people were hoping for. I don't think picking Croft was a bad decision, based on the stats available I was comfortable getting him, and would likely make the same decision again.

But like Croft, Drinkwater is a little on the expensive side to be risk free. How long do you give him to hit his stride if he doesn't fire from the get go?

You’re gonna keep those 3 over Teddy, Turbo and Ponga?

Decent squad on paper for your mob. I didn’t watch the 2nd Half but Hurrell looked like he was lifting his knees again a bit too high running into tackles. Looked good though.

Its a maybe from me, will watch them closely in charity shield.

I haven't selected a team yet, probably won't until TLT, but I have made a spreadsheet with over 80 candidates at the moment. Then come TLT its a process of elimination before select my final 21.

In the end I will probably run two of those and a cow that pops up.

Centres are currently Capewell pending a 80min gig and Lomax who can be moved depending on where that cow pops up

From recent memory Sharks CTRs always seem to score well so hoping Xerri nabs one

Over Dugan and Morris? Doubt it. Morrison has said he's in the running for a wing spot though.

I just can’t see how you can call all those three keepers with teddy, Turbo and Ponga in the game.

Oooh tough question, if I learnt anything from last year then 2 weeks. I held Croft for only 3 last year but held others for way too long (Thurston, Rochow, Thompson)

That’s what I have LB. For cash reasons though, Edwards will more than likely make way for a Cashie.

Even ignoring the Stats, like so many others on here who watch QCup, I was aroused watching Drinkwater carve up for Easts thinking about his Fantasy potential. If he is named at 1 he will be on my trousers!

Totally agree SI. Been watching all his highlights and his quality goes above his stats. I think being a rookie half like Croft was last year comes with a lot more pressure than slipping into the fullback role
