Yeah true I'd taken Lui for granted as being there. Could also be horsburgh who's jumped up the list, I'm happy for a bit of that fire in the team if so.my tv broke wrote:
Seems that there is no mention of Dunamis Lui in the injuries either, even though he is not in this weeks squad.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 thread part 6
Should we refer to Drinkwater as Drinkwater or Drinkbeer.
@ Milchy you raise some valid points but I'm assuming all those players you referred to actually start or else they will be gone. On Paulo he has said recently he's hungry for more minutes & wants to improve on his sub-par 2018 season. He looked very fit in the trial, always popping an offload & was very hard to bring down & players were falling off him trying to subdue him. I wasn't at all impressed with Alvaro. I heard stories on how he has bulked up over the off season but it has made him slow/less mobile & lacking punch.

Looked like the same old Paulo to me. 1 or 2 good runs. Lots of 5/8 type play that scores little to no points, some lazy defence and just not enough output all round for me to consider.White Lightning wrote:Should we refer to Drinkwater as Drinkwater or Drinkbeer.

IM going with a similar strategy, different execution.
Mahoney
Afifita, TPJ
Jurbo, Murray, Matterson
Arey, CHT
Croker, Holland
Turbo, Bmoz, Lomax
Fotuika, Nikora, Capewell, Haas
Dbrown, Egan, Hopoate, Kerrigan.
Set and forget Ctr (full season) Croker and Holland/Capewell
Wfb. Teddy/Turbo (will decide later depending on money) with Lomax and Bmoz/CNK. I expect to run a combo of these guys for first few months unless a Cow raises its head and is a must have in that position.
Having Mahoney isn’t ideal. But if he can score 40-50 on the reg, he has done his job. I have two legit C options in Fifita and Jurbo. So not overly worried. Starting with such a strong pack allows me to focus on getting in the right cows in the 14-21 positions.
The ideal world, all the guns I pick fire meaning ill have money and trades to burn. Obviously this wont happen. But hey that’s the plan.
Nice squad I like it. Myself I had a look at all the captain options & decided Cook was the only one I trusted to consistently score 50+ especially early in the season where the big men tend to struggle with minutes & getting match fit. Also Bennett loves an 80 minute hooker.

In that trial I think they had Paulo down for 46 points & I think he only played 2 quarters (40 mins). I agree he was pretty rubbish in 2017 & he's admitted that but he's back home now.

Rein will be on the bench but a lot of Titans forum members reckon Rein played better in 2018 & want him to start with Peats bench.

I can definitely see Peats playing less this year

I would have no issue with that. Arrow was my first picked and won't leave me team. He is a monster.

Yeah with decent minutes and no injuries he should be pumping out captain-worthy scores each week. Have him as my captain too now.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 thread part 6
Arrow was averaging about if not around 60 pts for the first half of the year, picked up a back problem, broken ribs plus other niggles and admitted Origin really hurt him and really dipped in the second half. Fully fit, no grog, steady head i reckon he'll be pumping out 60's all year mate. Obviously he may get that lull in his scores around Origin probably and with the squad Titans have this year he could possibly even get a rest but he will average 55-60 for the year i reckon. Priced at 51 he could be 5-9 points underpriced i reckon.

I also think even C. Murray if he gets at least 60 mins will be a viable captain option as well.

Agree with above reference Arrow. I also see this as the case with McCullough. He came into 2018 carrying an injury and then dislocated his elbow (from memory) then came straight back in. He'll be fit this season. Expecting 55+ average
